Day 1: Istanbul – Madrid

Meeting at 08:00 in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport International Terminal. After check-in and passport procedures, we depart for Madrid at 10:35 on Turkish Airlines flight TK1357. Following our arrival in Madrid at 13:25 local time, we begin our panoramic city tour with our private vehicle waiting for us. During this tour, where we will discover Madrid, Spain’s elegant capital, places to be seen panoramically include Paseo de la Castellana, which reflects the city’s modern face; the Torres Kio Twin Towers, notable for their leaning architecture; Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, one of the world’s most important football stadiums; the historic Las Ventas Bullring; and the Madrid Río area stretching along the Manzanares River. On this enjoyable tour, where we will explore Madrid’s most important points intertwined with history, art, and culture on foot, we first stop for photos at Plaza de España, famous for its statues of Cervantes and Don Quixote.

Then we view the magnificent Royal Palace, which hosts the Spanish Royal Family’s official ceremonies, from the outside, and enjoy a pleasant walk through Plaza Mayor, the city’s historic center, and Puerta del Sol Square, considered the heart of Madrid.

Next, we continue along Madrid’s most vibrant avenue, Gran Vía, experiencing the impressive architecture and lively city atmosphere up close. After a photo stop at Cibeles Square and in front of the Cibeles Fountain, one of Madrid’s symbols, we take a pleasant walk in Retiro Park, one of the city’s largest green spaces.

Toledo, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the former capital of Spain, is like a living open-air museum. This unique city, where Christian, Muslim, and Jewish cultures coexisted for centuries, fascinates visitors with its rich history and captivating architecture. During our tour, we view the Toledo Cathedral, one of Spain’s most magnificent religious structures, from the outside; and take a pleasant walk among historical structures that have survived from the Roman, Visigothic, Arab, Gothic, and Renaissance periods.

In Toledo, known as the “city of the world-famous painter El Greco,” we have the opportunity to explore narrow cobblestone streets, historic squares, traditional pastry shops, and stores displaying the Damascene (Damascino) art, renowned for its craftsmanship.

During our walk in the Jewish Quarter, one of the city’s oldest areas, we get to know Toledo’s multicultural past up close and discover the almond paste (Mazapán de Toledo) tradition that has survived from the Arab period to the present day. 

Day 3: Madrid – Seville

After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we depart for Seville. Guests who wish may join the Cordoba Tour organized by our guide en route. After our tour, we arrive in Seville, the capital of Andalusia and one of Spain’s most impressive cities. In this captivating city, once the center of Spanish colonial trade, our panoramic city tour will include the magnificent Plaza de España, the Golden Tower (Torre del Oro), one of the city’s symbols, the historic Paula Convent, Maria Luisa Park, famous for its lush gardens and pools, and Santa Cruz Quarter and Square, one of the city’s most authentic districts.

After approximately a 1.5-hour pleasant journey, we arrive in the historic city of Cordoba, the capital of the region during the Roman Empire and the Umayyad Emirate of Andalusia. Upon entering the city, the Guadalquivir River welcomes us. We cross the historic Roman Bridge, pass through the Roman Gate, and step into Cordoba’s enchanting atmosphere. The most important highlight of our tour will be the Great Mosque of Cordoba (Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba), listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and considered one of the most magnificent works of Islamic architecture. After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, we depart for Granada. Upon arrival, we begin to explore Granada, one of Andalusia’s most enchanting cities. During our tour, while discovering the city’s modern and historical texture from the vehicle, Plaça d’Espanya, Montjuïc Hill, the Olympic Stadium, the coastline along the Mediterranean, and important areas of Barcelona will be among the places seen panoramically.

On this enjoyable tour, where we will experience the history and Mediterranean culture of Catalonia together, we discover two cities with different characters. Our first stop is historic Tarragona, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Tarragona, one of the most important cities of the Roman Empire in the province of Hispania, we enjoy a pleasant walk through the ancient theater, historic walls, structures remaining from the Roman period, and views of the Mediterranean. As we explore the city’s historical atmosphere, we receive information from our guide about the Roman heritage. Then we turn our route to Sitges, one of the most charming seaside towns on the Mediterranean coast. Famous for its whitewashed houses, narrow streets, art galleries, boutique shops, and cafés stretching along the coast, Sitges offers free time after a walk and photo break. Guests who wish may spend time on the Mediterranean coast, relax at seaside cafés, or shop. After the free time, we depart for Barcelona and complete our tour.

Day 8: Barcelona - Istanbul

After breakfast at the hotel in the morning, free time until flight time. Guests who wish may join the La Roca Village Designer Outlet Tour organized by our guide. After our tour, we transfer to Barcelona Airport. Following check-in and passport procedures, we depart for Istanbul at 19:05 on Turkish Airlines scheduled flight TK1856.

After a comfortable and pleasant flight, we arrive at Istanbul Airport at 23:10 and reach the end of our delightful Spain tour.
