Day 1: Istanbul – Edirne

We depart and follow the TEM highway in the Çorlu-Edirne direction, arriving at the Kapıkule Border Gate. After passport and customs procedures, we enter Bulgaria and continue our journey to Sofia.

Day 2: Plovdiv – Sofia – Belgrade

Early in the morning, we pass through Plovdiv, the second largest city in Bulgaria, and arrive in Sofia, where we begin our panoramic city tour. St. Nedelya Church, Rotunda Church, Russian Church, Saint Sofia Church, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Prime Ministry, Parliament, Sofia University, the NDK National Palace of Culture, and the Army House, where the famous ball attended by Atatürk in Janissary attire was held, are among the places to see. Then we depart for Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, and a city of former Yugoslavia with important Ottoman monuments. After our journey, in our Belgrade city tour, one of Europe’s oldest cities and a new symbol of vitality and movement, we will see the Old Palace adorned with magnificent carved ceilings from the Ottoman period, the Millennium Monument, Belgrade Fortress, one of the supply centers of the Ottoman navy, where Fatih Sultan Mehmed was wounded while striving for the point where the Sava River joins the Danube, but where the conquest was achieved by Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, Kale Megdan, Tašmajdan, the Military Museum, the tomb of Martyr Ali Pasha, and the Bayrakli Mosque. Day 3: Belgrade – Sarajevo

After breakfast, we depart for Sarajevo. Upon arrival, we carry out our panoramic city tour in Sarajevo, which for centuries was the cultural capital of the Balkans, where in 1914 the murder of the Austrian-Hungarian Crown Prince Archduke Franz Ferdinand by the Serbs led to the outbreak of World War I, and which suffered great destruction in the 1992 war due to the devastating conflicts between Serbs, Croats, and Bosniaks, yet still largely preserves its beauty. During our tour, we will complete our visit by seeing the famous Bazaar, the historic Ottoman inn Morica Han, the Catholic Cathedral reflecting the city’s religious cosmopolitanism, the Synagogue, Gazi Husrev-bey and Ferhadija Mosques, the Latin Bridge where Franz Ferdinand was assassinated in 1914, the Old Library, and the western-style buildings formed during the city’s 40-year Austro-Hungarian administration, and then transfer to our hotel. After breakfast, Mostar, one of the most interesting places of the trip. Built by architect Hayreddin in 1557, Mostar Bridge is a masterpiece of Ottoman architecture. The bridge was destroyed by Croatian artillery in the war that took place in 1992, but with major contributions from the Republic of Turkey, it was reopened in 2004. After Mostar Bridge, we see Koski Mehmet Pasha Mosque. Then we visit Blagaj, built at the source of the Buna River, one of the strongest water sources in Europe. After our tour, our next stop is Počitelj. By visiting Počitelj, preserved with its historical texture and known as the Turkish Village, we see the works made by the Ottomans in the 16th century. After the excursion, transfer to our hotel where we will stay, room assignment, check-in, overnight stay, and dinner at our hotel. Our first stop in Montenegro is Kotor, a breathtaking medieval town famous for its fjords in the Balkans. Here, on the walking tour in the Old Town-Castle, you will get to know this charming town. Then our stop is Budva, one of the most famous holiday resorts in the Balkans with its magnificent beaches and very colorful nightlife. After our panoramic city tour there, we will have a short free time in Budva. Then a stop where you can see the magnificent St. Stefan, once a settlement area for fishermen, later expropriated and then brought into tourism by being sold to a Singaporean multi-billionaire, from above in panoramic view, and then we head to our hotel. After breakfast, we leave our hotel and cross into the Republic of Kosovo, one of the youngest countries in the world. Our first stop is Prizren, where the architectural silhouette, the call to prayer rising from the minarets five times a day, and the Turkish inscriptions on road and shop signs immediately give the impression of an Anatolian Ottoman city. We will see Sinan Pasha Mosque, Halveti Lodge, Bayrakli Mosque, and Mehmet Pasha Bath. After our free time and lunch break, we head to the capital, Pristina. In our panoramic city tour upon arrival, we will see the Clock Tower dating from the 19th century, Germia Park, the Kosovo Museum, the Fatih Sultan Mehmed Mosque built by the Ottomans in the 15th century, the 18th-century Yashar Pasha Mosque distinguished by its original interior decorations, and the tomb of Ottoman Sultan Murad I Hüdavendigâr, who was killed on the Kosovo Plain as a result of the 1389 Battle of Kosovo.
