Day 1 | Istanbul – Baku | Wednesday, 11 November 2026

Meeting at 05:30 in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at Istanbul Airport international departures terminal. After ticket, baggage, and passport procedures, flight to Baku at 08:35 with Turkish Airlines flight TK332. Arrival at Baku Heydar Aliyev Airport at 12:30 local time. After passport and baggage procedures, we depart from the airport by our vehicle to begin a panoramic Baku city tour. In our city tour, Flame Towers, which have become the symbol of Baku, the National Assembly square, the Turkish Martyrs' Memorial, Azerbaijan Martyrs Street and Monument are among the panoramic sights. Then we take a pleasant journey by Funicular (by our vehicle in case of excessive crowds) to the Old City; in Azerbaijani, “İçeri Şeher,” for a visit. After a short walk, we see the Maiden Tower and the Shirvanshahs’ Palace, which are included in the UNESCO World Heritage list, as well as the old mosque and baths and the Miniature Book Museum. With enjoyable walks along the historic cobblestone streets of İçeri Şeher, we finish our tour at the Fountain Square, considered the city center. After our tour, upon arrival at our hotel, we complete our check-in and settle into our rooms. Overnight at our hotel in Baku.

 

Day 2 | Baku | Thursday, 12 November 2026 [B]

After breakfast at our hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Absheron Peninsula, Ateshgah, Yanar Dag, and Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center tour organized by our guide. Overnight at our hotel in Baku.

On our tour, we will visit the Ateshgah Architectural Complex, one of the three Zoroastrian temples in the world, located on the Absheron Peninsula approximately 30 km from Baku. This structure, with its sanctuary known by the term “Eternal Fire,” is one of the important pilgrimage places according to Zoroastrian belief. After our tour here, we will visit Yanar Dag, which the famous traveler Marco Polo called the “Land of Fire.” Located in an area of 65 hectares and burning for centuries thanks to the natural gas emerging from beneath it, we return to Baku for our visit to the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center. Reflecting the rise of the Caspian Sea in Azerbaijani mythology, the building with the concept design of the famous architect Zaha Hadid was constructed in 3.5 years. Considered one of Azerbaijan's most important structures, the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center is also seen as a symbol of the Azerbaijani society's forward-looking approach with its modern, unusual, and futuristic architecture. Inside the center are permanent and temporary exhibitions, archaeological findings, an ethnography section, classic vehicles, personal belongings of Heydar Aliyev, and official cars. On this visit, we will gain information about Azerbaijan from past to present across a very broad spectrum. Return to our hotel after the tour.

 

Day 3 | Baku | Friday, 13 November 2026 [B]

After breakfast at our hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Gobustan tour organized by our guide. In the evening, guests who wish may join the optional Azerbaijan night tour with dinner and music organized by our guide. Overnight at our hotel in Baku.

We will set out for Gobustan, located approximately 65 km southwest of Baku, the richest region of Azerbaijan in terms of archaeological artifacts and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Gobustan, near the Caspian Sea and on the old Shirvan road, is also known as an open-air museum. Here, with its carved rocks and inscribed stones, it provides important information about social life, hunting, animals, and vegetation in the prehistoric and medieval periods worldwide. Then we will continue on our way to visit the Mud Volcanoes region, which is also a short distance from Gobustan. This area, in Azerbaijan, famous for its natural resources, is one of the most interesting places, drawing attention because it contains half of the more than 700 mud volcanoes in the world, especially the largest ones, and when we arrive there we will feel as if we are among “moon craters.” After the guided explanations in the region, we will observe the active volcano movements. Return to Baku and our hotel after the tour.

Day 4 | Baku | Saturday, 14 November 2026 [B]

After breakfast at our hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Surakhani ship museum tour organized by our guide. Overnight at our hotel in Baku.

On this tour, we will visit the Surakhani tanker, which played an important role in Azerbaijan's history of oil transportation by sea and was converted into a museum in 2017 after comprehensive maintenance and renovation. Various innovative solutions were applied in the halls of the Surakhani tanker museum, which is 123.5 meters long and weighs 4,696 tons. Here, after learning about the history of the Caspian Sea, oil production in Absheron, the development of seafaring, ships counted among the world's firsts, sea giants, navigation facilities that are an indispensable part of seafaring, sea knots with a history of approximately 5,000 years, and the equipment used to operate ships, we will return to our hotel.

 

Day 5 | Baku – Istanbul | Sunday, 15 November 2026 [B]

After breakfast at our hotel, we complete our check-out procedures and have free time until transfer time. At the transfer time announced by our guide, we depart for Baku Heydar Aliyev Airport. After ticket, baggage, and passport procedures, flight to Istanbul at 17:45 with Turkish Airlines flight TK341. Arrival at Istanbul Airport at 20:00 local time and the end of our tour. We say goodbye, hoping to meet again on our next distinguished and enjoyable trip.
