Departure from Istanbul; Taraklı >> Göynük >> Lake Çubuk

At the times we determined, we pick you up and have a pleasant breakfast at a suitable point on our route. Then we turn our route to the calm town of Taraklı, famous for its 19th-century Ottoman houses dating back to the Ottoman era and full of history. Our first stop in this charming town will be the Kurşunlu Mosque, built for Vizier Yunus Pasha during the reign of Yavuz Sultan Selim. We visit the historic bathhouse and mosque, which were used to heat the mosque’s central system from below. Then, through the narrow historic streets, we go to see the 700-year-old historic plane tree that has survived from the Ottoman period to the present day. Afterwards, we photograph the three-story historic houses, inns, and the historic rüştiye school of this charming town, which have stood for 300 years. Then we taste the region’s famous foam halva and are given a short free time to shop for wood-carving products. After completing our Taraklı tour, we turn our route to Göynük, another calm town, famous for its traditional architecture and one of the first settlements of the Ottomans. Our first stop in Göynük, the hometown of Akşemsettin, who first discovered germs 400 years before Pasteur, will be the Süleyman Pasha Mosque and bathhouse. After touring the mosque and bathhouse, the first structures of the Ottoman Empire in Göynük, we view the Victory Tower, built in memory of our War of Independence victory, panoramically and take photos as we wish. Then we visit the tomb of Akşemsettin, the Turkish-Islamic scholar who was the teacher of Fatih Sultan Mehmet. Finally, after touring the coppersmith shops and the historic streets of Göynük, we give free time for local shopping. After the free time, we take a lunch break to taste local flavors and turn our route to Lake Çubuk. After seeing Lake Çubuk, formed when a landslide descending from Kayabaşı hill blocked the expanding valley, and the Windmills, which were once built as a film set, and taking plenty of photos, we can take a pleasant nature walk around the lake with those who wish.
