Day 1: Istanbul – Skopje

Meeting in front of the airline counter at Istanbul airport departure terminal. Departure to Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, at 08:55 with Turkish Airlines flight TK1003. After a comfortable and pleasant flight, arrival at 08:25 local time and, after entry procedures, our private vehicle waiting in the area will take us to start our Skopje city tour. In Skopje, the birthplace of our famous poet Yahya Kemal Beyatlı, the places we will see include Mustafa Pasha Mosque, Murat Pasha Mosque, Kapan Han, Sulu Han, and the Stone Bridge, and we continue our walk by watching the Turkish and Jewish neighborhoods on the banks of the Vardar River and on the opposite side of the river. On this walk, we will see the Macedonia Square, the Ottoman Bridge, and Davut Pasha Bath from the outside, and then enter the Turkish bazaar, see the Clock Tower, one of Skopje’s symbolic works, built in the 16th century, Sultan Murat Mosque, one of our early mosques built in the 14th century, and Isa Bey Mosque from the same century, and then we will have free time in the Turkish bazaar. After free time, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel in Skopje. Guests who wish may join the optional tours to be organized.

Day 2: Skopje - Ohrid

After breakfast, we set off to discover Macedonia’s unique nature and cultural treasures. Our first stop is Tetova (Kalkandelen), one of Macedonia’s eye-catching towns. Here, we will visit the Painted Mosque, one of the most colorful and impressive mosques in the Balkans. Built in the 15th century, this mosque will enchant you with the vivid colors and detailed decorations on its exterior. As we explore this rare example of Ottoman architecture, we will embark on a journey into the depths of history. After our visit in Tetova, we continue on to Ohrid accompanied by lush green mountains and deep blue lakes. Along the way, Macedonia’s breathtaking scenery will accompany us. Upon arrival in Ohrid, we will take a tour introducing the historic city of Ohrid, which once served as an important Ottoman base in the Balkans. The places we will see during our tour include: the Monument of Saints Cyril and Methodius, 9th-century Byzantine monks believed to have developed the Cyrillic alphabet, and important structures such as the Church of Saint Sophia. We will also have the opportunity to stroll through Çınar Square, the heart of the city, and visit the Turkish Bazaar, which dates back to the old Ottoman period. Here, you can visit the Halveti Tekke and feel the cultural fabric of the city up close. Then, by visiting the New Bazaar and Ohrid Market, you will witness the daily life of the local people. Finally, Ohrid’s famous lake and its mesmerizing view will accompany our tour. After our tour, free time and transfer to our hotel. Overnight and dinner at our hotel. After breakfast, we head to the Resen-Manastir tour. On this tour, with our private buses, we first depart for Resen. Along the way, we visit the palace of Resneli Niyazi, one of the three most famous figures of the Committee of Union and Progress. Then we head to Manastır and, during our city tour of Manastır (Bitola), we visit the Turkish Bazaar, Bedesten, Ishak Mosque, Yeni Mosque, and the Military High School where Atatürk graduated and the Atatürk Museum, where you will experience the most emotional moments of the tour (from the outside). After our tour, we return to Ohrid. Overnight at our hotel.

Resen – Manastır Tour Per Person 40 Eur

This tour begins with departure to Resen by private bus. Along the way, we will see panoramically the palace of Resneli Niyazi, one of the three most famous names of the Committee of Union and Progress, known for his contributions in the Turkish-Greek war. Upon arrival, we begin our city tour of Manastır (Bitola). Here, we will first explore the Turkish Bazaar and the Bedesten. Then we will visit Ishak Mosque and Yeni Mosque. The Military High School where Atatürk graduated and the Atatürk Museum, where you will experience the most emotional moments of our tour, will be the highlights of this trip. After completing this impressive and educational tour, we return to Ohrid.

After breakfast, room check-out and departure to Skopje. Upon arrival in Skopje, our city tour begins.
