ISTANBUL – BASEL – (Freiburg Tour) – ALSACE/BASEL
After completing baggage drop-off, ticketing, and passport control procedures by being at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport Domestic Flights Terminal 3 hours before departure, we fly to Basel at 10:40 on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight PC939. After arriving at Basel Airport at 11:50 local time, we depart with our private bus waiting for us to organize our Basel city tour. Basel, Switzerland’s 3rd largest and most populous city after Zurich and Geneva, is located in the north of the country on the borders with Germany and France. In our panoramic city tour of Basel, where people from many parts of the world with different origins live and which is considered one of Europe’s most metropolitan cities with this feature, the main sights include Marktplatz, regarded as the city square and home to the government building, Basel Gate (Spalen Gate), one of the oldest structures in the city, Basel Cathedral, and the Rhine River. After the Basel tour, we offer free time. During this free time, guests who wish may join our extra arranged Freiburg Tour (50 Euro) program. We set off for Freiburg, one of the most important examples of green urbanism. In Freiburg, where since 2010 only low-carbon vehicles have been allowed to enter and transportation is mainly provided by tram and bicycle, in our city tour of this city of happy people, it is possible to see traces of the historical and architectural cultures of Germany, France, Austria, Spain, and Sweden under whose patronage the city has come throughout history. Also known as the capital of the Black Forest (Schwarzwald), in our city tour of Freiburg we will see the Freiburg Cathedral, the city’s most important symbol, charming streets with small canals unique only to Freiburg, Martin’s Tor, the city’s medieval gate, and Rathausplatz. After the Freiburg tour, we head to our hotel in the Alsace/Basel region. Upon arrival at the hotel, room assignment and free time to rest.
ALSACE/BASEL – (Alsace Pearls: Colmar & Riquewihr Tour) – (Strasbourg & Outlet Tour)
After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. During this free time, guests who wish may join our extra arranged Alsace Pearls: Colmar & Riquewihr Tour (80 Euro) program. First, we will go to the fairy-tale town of Colmar, where we will see the Old Customs House, Pfister House, and the colorful houses around the Rhine River, as well as the city’s most famous area, Petite Venise (Little Venice). In the unique setting surrounded by the Rhine River and its canals, you will find many delicious foods to suit your taste and many souvenir shopping opportunities. The next stop of our tour will be Riquewihr, famous for its vineyards surrounded by the Alsace region, its flower-filled balconies, its distinctive row of shops, its cobblestone streets closed to car traffic, its buildings that survived World War II largely unscathed, and its charming cafes; and its tower, which also houses the Dolder Museum that carries the city’s story to the present day with documents, will be like something out of a Grimm fairy tale. During the free time after the tour, guests who wish may join our extra arranged Strasbourg & Outlet Tour (75 Euro) program. Located on the border of Germany, Switzerland, and France, and also the largest city in the Alsace region, Strasbourg will greet us like something out of a fairy tale, with the beauty of a painting. In the city tour we will carry out by walking in Strasbourg’s vehicle-free center and streets, which was added to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1988 and has been hosting the European Parliament since 1992, we will see the Petite France, famous for its Alsace Houses that will make us feel in the very middle of a fairy tale land, Gutenberg Square and Statue, Notre Dame Cathedral, the city’s most important structure located in the very heart of the city, and the Kammerzell House, the city’s oldest house, which still continues to serve as a hotel and restaurant. After free time following the Strasbourg city tour, we set off to carry out our outlet visit. We will offer free time at the outlet center, which hosts stylish stores of many prestigious brands, cafes and restaurants, and personal activity areas. After the free time at Outlet Center, we return to our hotel in the Alsace/Basel region.
ALSACE/BASEL – (Lucerne & Bern & Swiss Alpine Villages by Train: Interlaken & Lauterbrunnen Tour)
After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. During this free time, guests who wish may join our extra arranged Lucerne & Bern & Swiss Alpine Villages by Train: Interlaken & Lauterbrunnen Tour (125 Euro) program. The first stop of our tour will be Lucerne. In the tour we will carry out in Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most popular tourist centers, famous for its nature and festivals held throughout the year, we will have the chance to photograph views of Mount Pilatus and Mount Rigi, see the Musegg Wall and the Lion Monument in the old town where old houses are located, and visit the city’s symbol, Chapel Bridge, and the Jesuit Church from the 17th century. After the Lucerne Tour, we set off for Interlaken. We will carry out our tour in Interlaken, which takes its name from “inter-lakes” due to its location between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, and is famous for its natural beauty and the enchanting views of these beauties. The region’s important hotels, casinos, and shopping streets are located along the tour route we will walk. The Victoria Jungfrau Hotel, one of the city’s historical symbols, and Höhematte Park are among the places we will see panoramically. After the free time to be given for photography and sightseeing, we head to the train station to move on to Lauterbrunnen, the next stop of our tour. With our train departing from Interlaken, after an approximately 20-minute journey we arrive in Lauterbrunnen. We will feel the deep structure of the valley and the steep rock walls as we exit the station. Walking toward the village center, we will panoramically see and have the chance to photograph the fascinating structure of Staubbach Falls hanging down toward the valley floor. Lauterbrunnen is known for the small settlements and walking paths lined along the valley that hosts 72 waterfalls. On our walk along the designated route within the village, we will take plenty of photos of the region’s traditional chalet architecture, the natural formations surrounding the valley floor, and its wonderful natural landscapes reminiscent of paradise. We complete our tour by returning to Interlaken. We move on to Bern, the next stop of our tour. Bern is one of the few cities in Europe that has remained unchanged since the Middle Ages. Due to this historical texture, it is included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. Located within Switzerland and with German as its official language, the influence of German culture is also seen in Bern’s architecture. After our city tour in Bern, which is built around the Aare River, we return to our hotel in the Alsace/Basel region.
ALSACE/BASEL – BASEL – ISTANBUL
After breakfast and hotel check-out procedures, we head to Basel Airport for our return flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival at the airport, after completing baggage drop-off, check-in, and passport control, we fly to Istanbul at 16:35 on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight PC942. Arrival at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 21:35 local time, and the end of our tour.
