İSTANBUL – ZURICH – FREIBURG – ALSACE/BASEL
After arriving at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport’s International Terminal 3 hours before departure and completing baggage drop-off, ticketing, and passport control procedures, we fly to Zurich on AJet Airlines’ scheduled flight VF53 at 11:55. Following our arrival at Zurich Airport at 13:00 local time, we set out with our private bus waiting for us to the city tour in order to travel to Freiburg, one of the most important examples of green urbanism. In Freiburg, the city of happy people, where only low-carbon vehicles have been allowed to enter since 2010 and transportation is mainly provided by tram and bicycle, traces of the historical and architectural cultures of Germany, France, Austria, Spain, and Sweden, under whose patronage the city has been throughout history, can be seen during our city tour. Also known as the capital of the Black Forest (Schwarzwald), in our city tour in Freiburg we will see Freiburg Cathedral, the city’s most important symbol; charming streets with small water canals unique to Freiburg; Martin’s Tor, the city’s gate dating back to the Middle Ages; and Rathausplatz. After the Freiburg tour and the free time to be offered afterward, we depart for our hotel in the Alsace/Basel region. Upon arrival at the hotel, room assignment and free time to rest.
ALSACE/BASEL – (Pearls of Alsace: Colmar & Riquewihr Tour) – (Strasbourg & Outlet Tour)
After breakfast, we offer a full day of free time. During this free time, our guests who wish may join our extra tour, Pearls of Alsace: Colmar & Riquewihr Tour (80 Euro). On our tour, we first go to the fairytale town of Colmar and see the Old Customs House, Pfister House, and the colorful houses around the Rhine River, as well as the city’s most famous district, Petite Venise (Little Venice). In the unique atmosphere surrounded by the Rhine River and its canals, you will have the chance to enjoy many delicious foods to suit your taste and buy many souvenirs. The next stop on our tour will be Riquewihr, famous for its vineyards, flower-filled balconies, rows of distinctive shops, cobblestone streets closed to car traffic, buildings that somehow survived World War II without damage, and charming cafés; with its tower housing the Dolder Museum, which carries the city’s story to the present day through documents, it resembles a Grimm fairy tale. During the free time offered after the tour, our guests who wish may join our extra Strasbourg & Outlet Tour (75 Euro). Strasbourg, located on the borders of Germany, Switzerland, and France and also the largest city in the Alsace region, will welcome us like a painting, as if out of a fairy tale. During the city tour we will carry out by walking in the car-free center and streets of Strasbourg, which was added to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1988 and has hosted the European Parliament since 1992, we will see Petite France, famous for its Alsace Houses that make us feel right in the middle of a fairy-tale land, Gutenberg Square and the Statue, Notre Dame Cathedral located in the heart of the city and its most important structure, and Kammerzell House, the city’s oldest house, which continues to serve today as a hotel and restaurant. After the free time offered following the Strasbourg city tour, we set off to visit the outlet. We will offer free time at the outlet center, home to the stylish stores of many prestigious brands, cafés and restaurants, and personal activity areas. After the free time at the Outlet Center, we return to our hotel in the Alsace/Basel region.
ALSACE/BASEL – (Lucerne & Bern & Swiss Alpine Villages by Train: Interlaken & Lauterbrunnen Tour)
After breakfast, we offer a full day of free time. During this free time, our guests who wish may join our extra tour, Lucerne & Bern & Swiss Alpine Villages by Train: Interlaken & Lauterbrunnen Tour (125 Euro). The first stop of our tour will be Lucerne. During the tour we will carry out in Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most popular tourist centers, famous for its nature and festivals held throughout the year, we will have the chance to photograph views of Mount Pilatus and Mount Rigi, see the Musegg Wall and the Lion Monument in the old town with its historic houses, and see the city’s symbol, the Chapel Bridge, and the Jesuit Church dating back to the 17th century. After the Lucerne tour, we set off for Interlaken. We will carry out our tour in Interlaken, which takes its name “inter-lakes” from being located between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun and is famous for its natural beauty and the enchanting views of these beauties. The region’s important hotels, casinos, and shopping streets are on the tour route we will follow on foot. The Victoria Jungfrau Hotel and Höhematte Park, one of the city’s historical symbols, are among the places we will see panoramically. After the free time to be offered for photography and a sightseeing break, we head to the train station to move on to Lauterbrunnen, the next stop on our tour. We arrive in Lauterbrunnen after about a 20-minute journey on the train departing from Interlaken. We will feel the deep structure of the valley and the steep rock walls as we exit the station. While walking to the village center, we will panoramically see the enchanting structure of Staubbach Falls hanging toward the valley floor and have the chance to photograph it. Lauterbrunnen is known for its small settlements and walking paths lined along the valley hosting 72 waterfalls. On our walk along the designated route within the village, we will take plenty of photos of the region’s traditional chalet architecture, the natural formations surrounding the valley floor, and its wonderful heavenly natural scenery. Returning to Interlaken, we complete our tour. We then move on to Bern, the next stop on our tour. Bern is one of the few cities in Europe that has remained completely unchanged since the Middle Ages. Due to this historical texture, it is on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. Located within the borders of Switzerland and with German as its official language, the influence of German culture can also be seen in Bern’s architecture. After the city tour we will carry out in Bern, built around the Aare River, we return to our hotel in the Alsace/Basel region.
ALSACE/BASEL – BASEL – ZURICH – ISTANBUL
After breakfast and hotel check-out procedures, we set off to arrange our Basel city tour. Basel, Switzerland’s 3rd largest and most populous city after Zurich and Geneva, is on the borders with Germany and France in the north of the country. In our panoramic city tour of Basel, where people of many different origins from around the world live and is considered one of Europe’s most metropolitan cities with this feature, Marktplatz, regarded as the city square and home to the government building, Basel Gate (Spalen Gate), one of the city’s oldest structures, Basel Cathedral, and the Rhine River are among the main sights. After the Basel tour and the free time offered afterward, we set off for Zurich Airport. After the baggage drop-off, check-in, and passport control procedures completed upon our arrival at the airport, we fly to Istanbul at 14:00 on AJet Airlines’ scheduled flight VF54. Arrival at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 18:55 local time and the end of our tour.
