ISTANBUL – ZURICH – FREIBURG – ALSACE/BASEL
After being present at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport International Terminal 3 hours before the flight and completing baggage drop-off, ticketing, and passport control procedures, we fly to Zurich on AJet Airlines’ scheduled flight VF53 at 11:55. After our arrival at Zurich Airport at 13:00 local time, we depart with our private bus waiting for us to set out for our city tour to Freiburg, one of the most important examples of green urbanism. In Freiburg, the city of happy people, where only low-carbon vehicles have been allowed since 2010 and transportation is largely provided by tram and bicycle, it is possible to see traces of the historical and architectural cultures of Germany, France, Austria, Spain, and Sweden, under whose protection the city has been throughout history. In our city tour in Freiburg, also known as the capital of the Black Forest (Schwarzwald), the city’s most important landmark, Freiburg Cathedral, charming streets with small water canals unique to Freiburg, Martin’s Tor, the city’s medieval gate, and Rathausplatz are among the places to see. After free time provided following the Freiburg tour, we head to our hotel in the Alsace/Basel region. Upon arrival at the hotel, free time for room assignment and rest.
ALSACE/BASEL – (Alsace Pearls: Colmar & Riquewihr Tour) – (Strasbourg & Outlet Tour)
After breakfast, we offer a full day of free time. During this free time, guests who wish may join our extra tour program Alsace Pearls: Colmar & Riquewihr Tour (80 Euro). On our tour, we first go to the fairytale town of Colmar, where we will see the Old Customs House, Pfister House, and the colorful houses around the Rhine River, as well as the city’s most famous district, Petite Venise (Little Venice). In this unique setting surrounded by the Rhine River and its canals, you will have the opportunity to find many delicious foods to suit your taste as well as many souvenirs. The next stop on our tour will be Riquewihr, famous for its vineyards, flower-filled balconies, distinctive rows of shops, cobblestone streets closed to traffic, buildings that somehow survived World War II without damage, and charming cafés; a town that feels like a Grimm fairy tale, with its tower that also houses the Dolder Museum, which preserves the city’s story with documents to this day. During the free time after the tour, guests who wish may join our extra program Strasbourg & Outlet Tour (75 Euro). Strasbourg, located on the borders of Germany, Switzerland, and France and also the largest city in the Alsace region, will welcome us with a picture-perfect beauty, as if it had come straight out of a fairy tale. During the city tour we will carry out by walking in the traffic-free center and streets of Strasbourg, which was added to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1988 and has hosted the European Parliament since 1992; Little France (Petite France), famous for its Alsace Houses that will make us feel right in the middle of a fairy tale land, Gutenberg Square and Statue, Notre Dame Cathedral, the city’s most important structure located in its very heart, and the Kammerzell House, the city’s oldest house and still serving today as a hotel and restaurant, are among the places we will see. After free time following the Strasbourg city tour, we depart to carry out our outlet visit. We will provide free time at the outlet center, home to the stylish stores of many prestigious brands, cafés and restaurants, and personal activity areas. After the free time at Outlet Center, we return to our hotel in the Alsace/Basel region.
ALSACE/BASEL – (Lucerne & Bern & Swiss Alpine Villages by Train: Interlaken & Lauterbrunnen Tour)
After breakfast, we offer a full day of free time. During this free time, guests who wish may join our extra tour program Lucerne & Bern & Swiss Alpine Villages by Train: Interlaken & Lauterbrunnen Tour (125 Euro). The first stop on our tour will be Lucerne. During the tour we will carry out in Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most popular tourist centers, famous for its nature and festivals held throughout the year, we will have the chance to photograph views of Mount Pilatus and Mount Rigi, see the Musegg Wall and the Lion Monument in the old town with its historic houses, and visit the city’s landmark, the Chapel Bridge, and the Jesuit Church dating from the 17th century. After the Lucerne tour, we head to Interlaken. We will carry out our tour in Interlaken, which takes its name from “inter-lakes” due to its location between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, and is famous for its natural beauty and the breathtaking views of these beauties. Important hotels, casinos, and shopping streets of the region are located along the tour route we will walk. The Victoria Jungfrau Hotel, one of the city’s historical symbols, and Höhematte Park are among the places we will see panoramically. After free time for photos and sightseeing, we proceed to the train station to go to the next stop on our tour, Lauterbrunnen. With our train departing from Interlaken, we arrive in Lauterbrunnen after a journey of approximately 20 minutes. We will feel the deep structure of the valley and the steep rock walls as soon as we leave the station. Walking toward the village center, we will panoramically see the enchanting structure of Staubbach Falls hanging down toward the valley floor and have the chance to photograph it. Lauterbrunnen is known for the small settlements and walking paths lined along the valley that hosts 72 waterfalls. On our walk along the designated route within the village, we will take plenty of photos of the region’s traditional chalet architecture, the natural formations surrounding the valley floor, and its wonderful heavenly natural scenery. We complete our tour by returning to Interlaken. We move on to Bern, the next stop on our tour. Bern is one of Europe’s few cities that has remained completely unchanged since the Middle Ages. Due to this historical texture, it is included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. Located within Switzerland and officially German-speaking, Bern also shows the influence of German culture in its architecture. After the city tour we will carry out in Bern, established around the Aare River, we return to our hotel in the Alsace/Basel region.
ALSACE/BASEL – BASEL – ZURICH – ISTANBUL
After breakfast and hotel check-out procedures, we depart to arrange our Basel city tour. Basel, Switzerland’s 3rd largest and most populous city after Zurich and Geneva, is located in the north of the country on the borders of Germany and France. In our panoramic city tour in Basel, where people of different origins from many parts of the world live and which is considered one of Europe’s most metropolitan cities with this feature, the main places to see include Marktplatz, considered the city square and where the government building is also located, Basel Gate (Spalen Gate), one of the city’s oldest structures, Basel Cathedral, and the Rhine River. After free time following the Basel tour, we set out for Zurich Airport. After arriving at the airport and completing baggage drop-off, check-in, and passport control procedures, we fly to Istanbul at 14:00 on AJet Airlines’ scheduled flight VF54. Arrival at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 18:55 local time and end of our tour.
