ISTANBUL – BASEL – (Freiburg Tour) – ALSACE/BASEL
After completing baggage drop-off, ticketing, and passport control procedures at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport International Terminal, we fly to Basel on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight PC941 at 14:25. Upon arrival at Basel Airport at 15:30 local time, we depart for Basel/Alsace by our private coach waiting for us. Along the way, guests who wish may join our extra arranged Freiburg Tour (50 Euro). We head to Freiburg, one of the finest examples of green urbanism. In Freiburg, the city of happy people, where only low-carbon vehicles have been allowed since 2010 and transportation is largely provided by tram and bicycle, on our city tour we will see traces of the historical and architectural cultures of Germany, France, Austria, Spain, and Sweden, under whose patronage the city has been throughout history. In our city tour in Freiburg, also known as the capital of the Black Forest (Schwarzwald), the most important symbol of the city, Freiburg Cathedral, charming streets with small water canals unique to Freiburg, Martin’s Tor, the city’s gate dating back to the Middle Ages, and Rathausplatz are among the places to see. After the Freiburg tour, transfer to our hotel. Upon arrival at the hotel, room assignment and free time to rest.
ALSACE/BASEL – (Pearls of Alsace: Colmar & Riquewihr Tour) – (Strasbourg & Outlet Tour)
After breakfast, we offer a full day of free time. During this free time, guests who wish may join our extra arranged Pearls of Alsace: Colmar & Riquewihr Tour (80 Euro). On our tour, we first travel to the fairy-tale town of Colmar and see the Old Customs House, Pfister House, and the colorful houses around the Rhine River, as well as the city’s most famous area, Petite Venise (Little Venice). In the unique setting surrounded by the Rhine River and its canals, you will find both many delicious foods to suit your taste and the opportunity to buy many souvenirs. The next stop on our tour will be Riquewihr, famous for its vineyards, flowered balconies, distinctive row of shops, cobblestone streets closed to traffic, buildings that somehow survived World War II unscathed, and its charming cafés; with its tower that also houses the Dolder Museum, which preserves the city’s story through documents, it resembles a Grimm fairy tale. During the free time given after the tour, guests who wish may join our extra arranged Strasbourg & Outlet Tour (75 Euro). Located on the border of Germany, Switzerland, and France, and also the largest city in the Alsace region, Strasbourg will welcome us like something out of a fairy tale, with the beauty of a painting. In the city tour we will carry out by walking in the car-free center and streets of Strasbourg, which was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1988 and has hosted the European Parliament since 1992, we will see Petite France, famous for its Alsace Houses that make us feel right in the middle of a fairy-tale land, Gutenberg Square and Statue, the Notre Dame Cathedral located in the very heart of the city and its most important structure, and the Kammerzell House, the city’s oldest house, which continues to serve today as a hotel and restaurant. After free time following the Strasbourg city tour, we depart to carry out our outlet visit. We will offer free time at the outlet center, home to stylish stores of many prestigious brands, cafés and restaurants, and personal activity areas. After the free time at Outlet Center, we return to our hotel in the Alsace/Basel region.
ALSACE/BASEL – (Lucerne & Bern & by Train Swiss Alpine Villages: Interlaken & Lauterbrunnen Tour)
After breakfast, we offer a full day of free time. During this free time, guests who wish may join our extra arranged Lucerne & Bern & by Train Swiss Alpine Villages: Interlaken & Lauterbrunnen Tour (125 Euro). The first stop on our tour will be Lucerne. During our tour in Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most popular tourist centers, famous for its nature and year-round festivals, we will have the chance to photograph views of Mount Pilatus and Mount Rigi, see the Musegg Wall and the Lion Monument in the old town with its historic houses, and visit the city’s symbol, the Chapel Bridge, and the Jesuit Church dating from the 17th century. After the Lucerne tour, we head to Interlaken. Named “inter-lakes” because it is located between Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, we will carry out our tour in Interlaken, famous for its natural beauty and the enchanting views of these beauties. Important hotels, casinos, and shopping streets of the region are located along the tour route we will walk. The Victoria Jungfrau Hotel, one of the city’s historical symbols, and Höhematte Park are among the places we will see panoramically. After the free time offered for photography and sightseeing, we move to the train station to go to Lauterbrunnen, our next stop on the tour. With our train departing from Interlaken, after an approximately 20-minute journey, we arrive in Lauterbrunnen. We will feel the deep structure of the valley and the steep rock walls as soon as we exit the station. While walking to the village center, we will panoramically see the enchanting structure of Staubbach Falls hanging down toward the valley floor and have the chance to photograph it. Lauterbrunnen is known for its small settlements and walking paths lined along the valley that hosts 72 waterfalls. On our walk along the designated route inside the village, we will take plenty of photos of the region’s traditional chalet architecture, the natural formations surrounding the valley floor, and its wonderful nature-like-paradise scenery. We complete our tour by returning to Interlaken. We then move to Bern, our next stop. Bern is one of Europe’s few cities that has remained unchanged since the Middle Ages. Due to this historical texture, it is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Located within Switzerland and with German as its official language, Bern also shows the influence of German culture in its architecture. After the city tour we will carry out in Bern, built around the Aare River, we return to our hotel in the Alsace/Basel region.
ALSACE/BASEL – BASEL – ISTANBUL
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart to arrange our Basel city tour. Basel, the 3rd largest and most populous city in Switzerland after Zurich and Geneva, lies on the country’s northern border with Germany and France. In our panoramic city tour of Basel, where people of different origins from many parts of the world live and which is considered one of Europe’s most metropolitan cities thanks to this feature, Marktplatz, regarded as the city’s square and home to the government building, Basel Gate (Spalen Gate), one of the city’s oldest structures, Basel Cathedral, and the Rhine River are among the main places to see. After the free time offered following the Basel tour, we head to Basel Airport. After baggage drop-off, check-in, and passport control procedures completed upon our arrival at the airport, we fly to Istanbul at 16:35 with Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight PC942. Arrival at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 21:35 local time, and the end of our tour.
