We arrive at Sabiha Gökçen Airport’s International Terminal 3 hours before our flight time and, after completing baggage drop, ticketing, and passport control procedures, we fly to Bilbao at 10:20 on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight PC1113. Upon our arrival in Bilbao at 12:40 local time, we depart to organize our San Sebastian city tour. In the tour we will carry out upon arrival in San Sebastian, which is located in Spain’s Basque Region and has been known since the 19th century as one of Europe’s aristocracy’s summer resort centers, places to be seen panoramically include Playa de La Concha, Playa de Ondarreta, Bahía de La Concha, Ayuntamiento (City Hall), Catedral del Buen Pastor, Kursaal Congress Palace, María Cristina Bridge, Hotel María Cristina, Old Casino Building, Parte Vieja (Old Town), and Monte Urgull. Continuing along La Concha Bay, on our tour where we will see examples of 19th- and 20th-century civil architecture and historical streets along the coastline, we reach the Parte Vieja area and provide free time for sightseeing and personal activities. BILBAO – (Leon Tour) – (Guimaraes Tour) – PORTO
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Porto. On the way, guests who wish may join our optional Leon Tour program (40 Euro). Located in northwestern Spain, the city of Leon developed into one of the important centers of the Kingdom of Castile during the Middle Ages. Since the city has preserved its historic center structure, its architectural fabric has largely survived to the present day. During our panoramic city tour in Leon, where Gothic and Baroque works are found together, places to be seen include Plaza Mayor, San Marcelo Square, Plaza del Grano, Basilica of San Isidoro, the Old City Hall, Casa Botines, Old City Walls, and the Cathedral of Santa María de Regla. After seeing the Leon Cathedral, built in the 13th century and regarded as one of the most striking Gothic architectural structures in both the city and Europe with its stained-glass windows, we will complete our city tour by proceeding through the streets of Darro, Ancha, and Calle del Cid in the historic center. At the end of the tour, we continue our journey to Porto. On the way, guests who wish may join our optional Guimaraes Tour program (40 Euro). Guimaraes, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was the first capital of Portugal in the 12th century. Places to be seen include Largo da Oliveira Square, named after centuries-old olive trees, Guimaraes Castle, Rua de Santa Maria street, which hosts wonderful architecture from the Middle Ages, and the various restaurants and shops located on this street. After our Guimaraes visit, we arrive at our hotel in the Porto region, where we provide room assignment and free time to rest.
PORTO – (Porto Masterpieces Tour) – (Obidos Tour) – LISBON
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Lisbon. On the way, guests who wish may join our optional Porto Masterpieces Tour program (55 Euro). Porto is a historic city located in northern Portugal on the banks of the Douro River. During our panoramic city tour, we will see the city’s UNESCO-protected historic texture and landmarks. We first proceed along Avenida dos Aliados. One of Porto’s widest boulevards, this avenue is among the areas to be seen panoramically with its granite historic buildings and views of the city hall. Next, we will see São Bento Train Station from the outside. The blue-and-white azulejo tiles on the station’s interior walls depict scenes from Portuguese history. On our route, Porto Cathedral (Sé do Porto) will be seen panoramically from the outside. Located on one of the city’s highest points, the cathedral area is one of the spots where a short break will be given to photograph Porto’s historic center. Then we continue panoramically along Ribeira District, which stands out with its narrow streets and traditional houses. After that, the UNESCO-listed Luís I Bridge will be seen panoramically. The bridge’s iron construction creates one of the city’s most recognizable silhouettes. From here we reach the Clérigos Tower and Livraria Lello area; the tower will be seen panoramically from the outside and Lello’s exterior facade can be photographed. We complete the tour by seeing Bolhão Market and the surrounding commercial axis. This area, where local products are sold, is one of the places where we can observe Porto’s daily life. After the Porto Masterpieces Tour, we continue our journey to Lisbon. On the way, guests who wish may join our optional Obidos Tour program (50 Euro). In the medieval town of Obidos, surrounded by walls on a hill and with its cobblestone streets conveying the architectural features of the Renaissance, Baroque, and Gothic periods to visitors, the Roman-origin Obidos Castle, St. John the Baptist Church, and Rua Direita, which attracts the most visitors as the town’s main street, are among the main places to be seen in our tour. LISBON – (Lisbon Masterpieces Tour) – (Atlantic Coast Tour) – (Lisbon Night Tour with Dinner) – (Fado Show)
After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. During this free time, guests who wish may join our optional Lisbon Masterpieces Tour program (55 Euro). Lisbon, the capital of Portugal and like Istanbul a city on two sides of the river, is also Europe’s 6th most visited city by tourists throughout the year. Governed throughout history by the Phoenicians, Romans, North African Muslims, and finally the Portuguese, Lisbon hosts many historical monuments with this history dating back to 1200 BC. During our tour in Lisbon, the historic district of the city where Rossio Square and St. George’s Castle are located, as well as the Santa Justa Elevator, are among the main places to be seen. After the city tour, we provide free time in the city center. Continuing our city tour, Belem Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries, built during the age of geographical discoveries and symbolic for Portugal, will be seen and free time will be given for a photo break. Then Avenida de Liberdade, known as Lisbon’s Champs-Élysées and famous for its cafes, high-quality shops, and restaurants, will be among the places to be seen, and we will have the opportunity to discover Lisbon from different angles. At the end of the tour, we offer free time. During this free time, guests who wish may join our optional Atlantic Coast Tour program (80 Euro). The first stop of our tour will be the town of Sintra. Sintra will greet us with boutique shops, colorful and ornate houses resembling castles, and cobblestone streets. However, its most important feature that led to its inclusion on the UNESCO World Heritage List is its architectural monuments and buildings from the Romantic Period. After our Sintra visit, which we will conduct through streets and avenues surrounded by palaces and churches, our next stop will be Cabo da Roca, called “The End of the World” and the westernmost point of the European Continent. After a short break where you can take photos of the famous beaches frequented by the ocean and surfers, we continue our tour with a panoramic sightseeing visit of Cascais, a fishing town. At the end of the tour, we return to our hotel in the Lisbon region and have free time to rest. In our tour, we first proceed along the banks of the Tagus River and follow the Cais do Sodré and Ribeira das Naus route panoramically. The illuminated waterfront offers Lisbon’s modern side with a pleasant evening view. Then we will see the outer surroundings of the historically significant but not included in our daytime tour Alfama slopes panoramically. The illuminated silhouette of the narrow streets allows us to observe the city’s traditional texture in the evening. Next, we see the evening ambiance of Praça do Comércio from the outside panoramically. The square’s yellow arcades and its illumination by the river create one of Lisbon’s most impressive evening views. After the night tour, we complete our tour with dinner at a local restaurant and offer free time. During this free time, guests who wish may join our optional Fado Show program (45 Euro). On our tour, we attend a Fado Show where we listen to Fado music, unique to Portugal, which emerged from the emotional and sorrowful laments of sailors’ wives and became world-famous. After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Salamanca. On the way, guests who wish may join our optional Outlet Tour program (30 Euro). We offer free time at the outlet center, which provides visitors with a pleasant and affordable shopping experience through its many prestigious brand shops, cafes and restaurants, and personal activity areas. After the free time we provide, we continue our journey to Salamanca. On the way, guests who wish may join our optional Caceres Tour program (40 Euro). Located in Spain’s Extremadura region, Cáceres stands out with its historic fabric that has survived almost unchanged from the Middle Ages to the present and is therefore included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In our panoramic city tour, which we will start on foot from Paza Mayor, we will see traces of the Roman, Visigothic, and Andalusian periods. Torre de Bujaco and the old city walls, the Arco de la Estrella Arch, and the Concatedral de Santa María, which combines Gothic and Renaissance elements, are among the places to be seen panoramically. After breakfast and hotel check-out, we set out to organize our Salamanca city tour. Salamanca is a culturally, commercially, and touristically active city in northwestern Spain, established on the banks of the Tormes River and home to the Salamanca University, the first in Spain and the oldest in Europe, with its ancient riches stretching from the Carthaginians to the Romans. After our sightseeing tour in Salamanca, which was added to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1988, and a short free time we will provide at Plaza Mayor, one of the most beautiful squares in Europe, we depart to organize our Segovia city tour. On the way, guests who wish may join our optional Avila Tour program (40 Euro). We will explore Ávila, surrounded by Europe’s best-preserved medieval walls. During the walking tour we will conduct in the historic city center, the magnificent walls that have become the city’s symbol, impressive squares, and outstanding examples of Romanesque and Gothic architecture will be among the places to be seen panoramically. Then we depart for Segovia, famous for its magnificent aqueduct that has survived from Roman times to the present. During our city tour, the historic aqueduct, one of the most important works of Roman engineering, the fairy-tale-like Alcázar of Segovia, the Segovia Cathedral, notable for its elegant architecture, and historic streets will be among the places to be seen panoramically. BILBAO – ISTANBUL
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart to organize our Bilbao city tour. Bilbao appears as one of the most important cities of Spain’s northern Basque Autonomous Region. Established along the Nervión River, the city combines its industrial past with modern architecture. During our panoramic city tour, first, as we travel along the banks of the Nervión River, we see modern structures intertwined with historic texture. After seeing the city’s symbol, the Guggenheim Museum, and the bridges over the river panoramically, we reach Casco Viejo, the historic center of Bilbao. In this center, which draws attention with its narrow streets, structures reflecting traditional Basque architecture, and small squares, Santiago Cathedral will be our panoramic visit point. After our sightseeing tour along Gran Vía street, where we can observe Bilbao’s modern side with its shopping areas, administrative buildings, and orderly urban planning, and after the short free time that will follow, we complete our Bilbao city tour and head to Bilbao Airport for the return flight to Istanbul. After we complete ticketing, baggage drop, and passport control procedures upon arrival at the airport, we fly to Istanbul at 14:00 on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight PC1114. Arrival at Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 20:00 local time and end of the tour.
