ANKARA – ZURICH – LUGANO – (Como Tour) – MILAN
After baggage drop, check-in, and passport control procedures that we will carry out 3 hours before the flight at Ankara Esenboğa Airport International Terminal, we fly to Zurich at 07:20 with SunExpress Airlines’ direct scheduled flight XQ732. Following our arrival at Zurich Airport at 09:45 local time, we set off for Lugano with our private bus waiting for us at the airport. With our arrival in Lugano, we will take a peaceful walk along the shores of Lake Lugano, which, within the borders of Switzerland, will fascinate us with its unique nature, magnificent view, and city park, and we will enjoy the extraordinary scenery by photographing the beautiful nature. At the end of the tour, we head to our hotel in the Milan region. On the way, guests who wish may join our extra Como Tour program (50 Euro). Como is a center located in the Lombardy region and stands out with its historical buildings and orderly urban fabric. The city squares, cathedral, and shoreline offer visitors a compact and easy-to-explore area. Lake Como is one of Italy’s best-known lakes, and the hills surrounding it, lakeside settlements, and regular transport lines complete the region’s natural appearance. The area around the lake is regularly visited throughout the year and has a balanced appearance between city and nature. In our Como & Lake Como excursion, we will first reach Como city center and view the cathedral area, squares, and coastline from the outside. Then free time will be given on the shores of Lake Como; during this time visitors can walk around the lake, take photos, or explore the surroundings. MILAN – (Verona Tour) – VENICE – (Venetian Masterpieces and Colorful Islands by Boat Tour)
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we set off for our hotel in the Venice region. On the way, guests who wish may join our extra Verona Tour program (50 Euro). Verona, listed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List, is also home to Italy’s second-largest amphitheater after the Colosseum and the home of Shakespeare’s famous work Romeo and Juliet, which tells the greatest love story known in the world today. After our panoramic sightseeing tour, which we will carry out on foot through Via Mazzini (the main square) and Erbe Square, surrounded by many shops, cafes, and stores, and where we can also see Verona Cathedral, we complete our tour and continue our journey to the hotel in the Venice region. On the way, guests who wish may join our extra Venetian Masterpieces and Colorful Islands by Boat Tour program (125 Euro – Vaporetto transportation fees included). In the first part of our tour in Venice, we will see major iconic works such as St. Mark’s Square, built of stone and marble with its columns brought from Istanbul, St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace designed and used as a symbol of magnificence and power, the Clock Tower, the Bridge of Sighs, and the historic Campanile Bell Tower, and then we will enjoy a pleasant walk through the streets of Venice, connected by bridges and stretching along narrow canals. In the continuation of our tour, we arrange our Colorful Islands program. In this tour, where we will have the chance to observe the Venice island from different angles by passing through the lagoons, we will see the islands of Lido and Murano from the sea and visit Burano Island, the fishing village famous for its lace, known as one of the 10 most colorful places in the world. VENICE – (Florence Masterpieces Tour with Lunch) – ROME
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, we depart for Rome. On the way, guests who wish may join our extra Florence Masterpieces Tour with Lunch (65 Euro) program. With our arrival in Florence, we begin our tour with lunch at a local restaurant. In Florence, the capital of the Renaissance and the hometown of Pinocchio, we first see from the outside the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, which immediately attracts attention with its orange dome and is the 4th largest church in Europe. One of the most striking features of the cathedral is the bronze door called the “Gate of Paradise,” where scenes of the stories of the prophets, some of which are also mentioned in the Quran, are represented. Later, the Giotto Bell Tower, once used to summon the people to parliament, Signoria Square, which was the political and social center of Florence for centuries and where Michelangelo’s famous Statue of David is located, and the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio), famous for its antique and jewelry shops, are among the places to be seen. Known for its wild strawberries and called “Strawberry Village” for this feature, Nemi hosts the annual strawberry festival. After our sightseeing tour in Nemi, where narrow streets open onto squares and the enchanting lake and valley view combine with the smell of strawberries in the air, we take you on a historical journey through Rome and its icons, referred to as Urbs aput mundi, meaning “the city at the center of the world”; a city offering art, history, music, shopping, sun, and cuisine, with buildings in different styles stretching from antiquity to the Renaissance. While works created through the competition of architects attract thousands of tourists to the city in every season, Rome can carry even these crowds without overwhelming people, with all its beauty and aesthetics. Starting with views of Castel Sant’Angelo – the Castle of the Angels – and Navona Square, we visit the Vatican / St. Peter’s, the center of the Catholic branch of Christianity and the world’s smallest country by area. We offer free time in St. Peter’s Square (Saint Peter’s Square), where thousands of Catholics come and gather every year for worship and where, on special days, the Pope comes out from his office to greet the public, and where St. Peter’s Basilica, the world’s largest cathedral with 140 statues of saints, is located. After the free time offered, we begin our Rome Local Neighborhoods tour. In this tour, where we mingle with the people of Rome and feel like inhabitants of the city, the areas of Trastevere, Piazza Trilussa, Ponte Sisto, and the Ghetto, where we will experience the true Italian atmosphere with their cafés, small family restaurants, boutiques, greengrocers, butchers, and many more small and charming shops besides their naturalness and simplicity, as well as the Ancient Tiber Island, connected to the city by 2 bridges, are among the places to be seen panoramically. Siena is famous for its narrow streets dating from the Middle Ages, small avenues, and Campo Square, considered the largest square in Europe. After an enjoyable tour in Siena, where we will see Campo Square and the narrow, historic streets leading to this square, we complete our tour and arrive at our second stop, San Gimignano. San Gimignano, which has earned a place on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List because it has preserved its medieval architecture and appearance to this day, is also known as the “Town of Beautiful Towers” thanks to 14 architectural marvel towers that survived out of 76 towers as a result of wars and natural disasters. Milan, one of Europe’s fashion capitals, also stands out with its cuisine, opera, and churches. Although known as Italy’s business and finance capital, Milan is also the right address for shopping and dining experiences, and during our city tour, the famous opera house La Scala, Duomo Square and Cathedral, and Porta Romano are among the main places to be seen. After the Milan city tour, we set off to visit the outlet center. Arrival at Esenboğa Airport at 14:55 local time and end of our tour.
