DAY 1
ISTANBUL – BAKU
We meet at Istanbul Airport at the international departures terminal three hours before the flight. After ticket, baggage and passport procedures, we depart for Baku on Turkish Airlines flight no. … . Upon arrival in Baku, we leave the airport and begin our Baku city tour. We start our city tour with Inner City (Old City), which was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000. After reaching the Old City, our first stop is the Shirvanshah Palace, built in the 15th century by Ibrahim Khalilullah. Then the main sites we will see include the Maiden Tower, which has a history of 2,500 years, and the Juma Mosque. Afterwards, we complete our city tour with panoramic views of the Bukhara and Multani Caravanserais. After our city tour, guests who wish may join the Azerbaijan Night with dinner, organized as an extra by our guide (50 eur). After dinner, transfer to our hotel and free time to rest.
DAY 2
BAKU
After breakfast, free time. Guests who wish may join our extra Gobustan & Heydar Aliyev Museum tour (70 Euro). We set off towards Gobustan, located 70 km south of Baku, the richest region of Azerbaijan in terms of archaeological artifacts and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Located near the Caspian Sea, on the old Shirvan road, Gobustan is also called an open-air museum. This place provides important information about social life, hunting, animals and vegetation in the prehistoric and medieval periods with its carved rocks and inscribed stones all around the world. Gobustan Mud Volcanoes are located within Gobustan National Park, southwest of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, and form one of the largest mud volcano areas in the world. This natural wonder is of great geological and tourist importance. Approximately 40% of the mud volcanoes on Earth are located in Azerbaijan, and the most famous ones are in the Gobustan region. With nearly 300 mud volcanoes, this area attracts both scientists and tourists. After our tour, we visit the Heydar Aliyev Museum. After the tour, return to our hotel and free time to rest.
DAY 3
BAKU
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the Absheron Peninsula tour (50 Euro), organized as an extra by our guide. Among the main places we will visit on the Absheron Peninsula, we will see the Ateshgah Architectural Complex, one of the three Zoroastrian temples in the world. This highly interesting structure, whose fire has never gone out for centuries, is one of the main pilgrimage sites according to the Zoroastrian faith. After our visit to Ateshgah, we will visit the volcano that the famous traveler Marco Polo called the “Land of Fire.” The volcano covers a total area of 65 hectares and has been burning for centuries due to the natural gas coming from underground. After completing our boulevard tour, guests who wish may join the Caspian Boat Tour (30 euro), organized as an extra by our guide.
Then we head to our visit to Baku Green Market (Green Bazaar), where the Green Bazaar offers a more authentic shopping experience compared to Baku’s modern shopping centers. Tourists can be among the local people here and find Azerbaijan’s traditional products in their most natural forms. After our tour, transfer to our hotel and free time to rest.
DAY 4
BAKU – ISTANBUL
After breakfast at the hotel, check-out from the rooms. After free time until the time determined by our guide, transfer to Baku Airport and depart for Istanbul on Turkish Airlines scheduled flight no. … . After our arrival in Istanbul, the tour ends.
