ISTANBUL – BOLOGNA – (Siena Tour) – ROME
We arrive at Sabiha Gökçen Airport’s International Terminal 3 hours before the flight and complete ticketing, baggage drop, and passport procedures before flying to Bologna on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight PC1217 at 12:40. Upon arrival in Bologna at 14:20 local time, we depart by private coach to our hotel in the Rome region where we will be staying. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Siena Tour (50 Euro). Siena is famous for its narrow medieval streets, small lanes, and Campo Square, regarded as one of the largest squares in Europe. After our pleasant walk through Campo Square and the historic narrow streets leading to it, we continue our journey to the hotel in the Rome region. Upon arrival at the hotel, check-in and free time to rest.
ROME – (Rome Icons & Nemi Strawberry Village Tour) – (Vatican and Rome Local Districts Tour)
After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. Guests who wish may join the optional Rome Icons & Nemi Strawberry Village Tour (85 Euro). Our first stop is Nemi. Known for its wild strawberries and called the “Strawberry Village,” Nemi hosts an annual strawberry festival. After a sightseeing walk in Nemi, where narrow streets open onto squares and the enchanting lake and valley views blend with the scent of strawberries in the air, we continue on a historical journey through Rome and its icons, the city once called Urbs caput mundi, “the center of the world,” and home to art, history, music, shopping, sunshine, and cuisine. With buildings in different styles ranging from antiquity to the Renaissance, Rome offers a journey through history. While architects’ masterpieces attract thousands of tourists in every season, the city’s beauty and elegance allow it to carry even large crowds without feeling overwhelming. During our tour, we will panoramically see the Colosseum, the symbol of the city and the ancient theater that hosted gladiator fights during the Roman Empire, the Roman Forum, which was the ceremonial center of the imperial city, the Trevi Fountain, where legend says those who toss in a coin will return to Rome, the Spanish Steps, famous for street performers, Piazza Pietra, and Piazza Popolo.
At the end of the tour, we offer free time in Rome city center around the Pantheon. During this free time, guests who wish may join the optional Vatican and Rome Local Districts Tour (65 Euro). Starting with Castel Sant’Angelo and Piazza Navona, we visit Vatican City / San Pietro, the center of the Catholic Church and the world’s smallest country by area. We offer free time at St. Peter’s Square, home to St. Peter’s Basilica, the largest cathedral in the world with 140 saints’ statues, where thousands of Catholics gather for worship each year and where, on special occasions, the Pope greets the public from his residence. After the free time, we begin our Rome local districts tour. In this tour, where we mingle with the people of Rome and feel like one of the city’s residents, we will panoramically see Trastevere, Piazza Trilussa, Ponte Sisto, and the Ghetto area, as well as the ancient Tiber Island, connected to the city by two bridges. After our walk through the narrow labyrinth-like back streets with small tables set out, we complete the tour and return to our hotel in the Rome region.
ROME – (Naples Tour) – (Pearl of Amalfi Sorrento or Lunch Included Pompeii Tour) – ROME
After breakfast, we offer a full day at leisure. Guests who wish may join the optional Naples Tour (40 Euro). Upon arrival in Naples, our tour includes Castel Nuovo, Palazzo Reale di Napoli, Galleria Umberto, Teatro di San Carlo, Via Toledo, Piazza del Plebiscito, and Basilica Reale Pontificia San Francesco da Paola. After free time in Naples, guests who wish may join the optional Lunch Included Pompeii Tour (80 Euro). Starting with lunch at a local restaurant, we visit Pompeii, which lies at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, whose eruption in 79 AD destroyed the city. Thanks to the long excavations completed by archaeologists in 1748, the city has been brought back to life in all its vividness. We complete the tour with a visit to the ancient city of Pompeii.
Alternatively, guests may join the optional Sorrento Tour, the Pearl of Amalfi (80 Euro). Sorrento, whose history dates back to prehistoric times, captivates visitors by combining Italian character and charm with Mediterranean style. Famous for its small tourist boutiques, stunning beaches, breathtaking views, and the Italian lemon liqueur Limoncello, we enjoy a city tour and sightseeing in Sorrento on the Amalfi Coast, followed by free time. After the tour, we return to our hotel in the Rome region.
ROME – (San Gimignano Tour) – (Florence Masterpieces and Pisa Tour) – FLORENCE
After breakfast and check-out, we depart for our hotel in the Florence region. En route, guests who wish may join the optional San Gimignano Tour (50 Euro). San Gimignano, which has preserved its medieval architecture and appearance to this day, has earned its place on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It is also known as the “Town of Beautiful Towers” thanks to the 14 architectural marvels that survived from the original 76 towers after wars and natural disasters. In San Gimignano, with its narrow streets opening onto the town square and its 14 magnificent towers visible from the panoramic squares, we enjoy a sightseeing walk that feels like a journey back to the Middle Ages before continuing to our hotel in the Florence region. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Florence Masterpieces and Pisa Tour (95 Euro). First, in Florence, the capital of the Renaissance and the hometown of Pinocchio, we see from the outside the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, which immediately stands out with its orange-colored dome and is the fourth largest church in Europe. One of the cathedral’s most notable features is the bronze door called the “Gate of Paradise,” depicting the stories of prophets mentioned in the Qur’an as well. We then see Giotto’s Bell Tower, once used to summon the people to parliament, Signoria Square, which served as Florence’s political and social center for centuries and is home to Michelangelo’s famous Statue of David, and the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio), famous for its antique and jewelry shops. After the Florence Masterpieces tour, our next stop is Pisa. Upon arrival in Pisa, we visit the Leaning Tower, Cathedral, Baptistery, and Miracles Square. After a short free time for photos, we continue to our hotel in the Florence region. Upon arrival at the hotel, check-in and free time to rest.
FLORENCE – (Cinque Terre Tour by Train) – (Portofino Tour by Boat) – MILAN
After breakfast and check-out, we head to Milan. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Cinque Terre Tour by Train (65 Euro). Cinque Terre is a region on the Ligurian coast of Italy known for its colorful houses, terraced hillsides running parallel to the shore, and seaside villages. With its narrow streets, coastal views, and preserved architecture, it is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. We complete the tour with a sightseeing walk and visit in one of the five villages that give Cinque Terre its name before continuing our journey to Milan. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Portofino Tour by Boat (65 Euro). Portofino, with its colorful houses and beauty that has inspired songs, fascinates visitors with its narrow streets, colorful houses, green hills, and turquoise Mediterranean views. After our visit to Portofino, we continue our journey to Milan. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Milan region, check-in and free time to rest.
MILAN – (Milan Masterpieces and Como Tour) – (Lugano Tour) – (Outlet Tour)
After breakfast, guests who wish may join the optional Milan Masterpieces and Como Tour (95 Euro). Our first stop is Milan. Known as one of Europe’s fashion capitals, Milan is also distinguished by its cuisine, opera, and churches. Although recognized as Italy’s business and financial capital, it is also an excellent destination for shopping and dining. During our tour, we see the famous opera house La Scala, Duomo Square and Cathedral, and Porta Romano. After the Milan Masterpieces Tour, we arrive in Como. Here we visit Lake Como, famous for its luxurious villas owned by Hollywood celebrities, European aristocrats, and the global jet set, and enjoy a photo stop with the lake’s unique scenery. After free time in Como, guests who wish, and only those joining the Milan Masterpieces and Como Tour, may participate in the optional Lugano (Switzerland) Tour (45 Euro). In this tour, we enjoy a peaceful walk along the shores of Lake Lugano, located within Switzerland and admired for its unique nature, wonderful views, and city park, while photographing the beautiful scenery. At the end of the tour, we start our return journey to the Milan region hotel. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Outlet Tour (35 Euro). After enjoyable free time at the outlet center, which hosts the stylish stores of many prestigious brands as well as cafes, restaurants, and leisure areas, we complete the tour and return to our hotel in the Milan region.
MILAN – (Verona Tour) – VENICE – (Venice Masterpieces and Colorful Islands Tour by Boat)
After breakfast and check-out, we depart for our hotel in the Venice region. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Verona Tour (50 Euro). Verona, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is also home to Italy’s second-largest amphitheater after the Colosseum and to the house of Romeo and Juliet, the world-famous love story penned by the English writer Shakespeare. After our panoramic sightseeing walk in Verona, where we will see Via Mazzini (the main street), Erbe Square surrounded by many shops, cafes, and stores, and Verona Cathedral, we complete the tour and continue to our hotel in the Venice region. En route, guests who wish may join the optional Venice Masterpieces and Colorful Islands Tour by Boat (125 Euro – Vaporetto transportation included). In the first part of our Venice tour, we see the iconic structures of St. Mark’s Square, St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, the Clock Tower, the Bridge of Sighs, and the historic Campanile Bell Tower, all built from stone and marble with columns brought from Istanbul, and then enjoy a pleasant walk through the streets of Venice connected by bridges and extending along narrow canals. The continuation of our tour is the Colorful Islands program. In this tour, where we have the chance to observe Venice from different angles as we pass through the lagoons, we see Lido and Murano from the sea and visit Burano Island, a fishing village famous for its lace and known as one of the 10 most colorful places in the world. After the tour, we arrive at our hotel in the Venice region, check in, and enjoy free time to rest.
VENICE – BOLOGNA – ISTANBUL
After breakfast and check-out, at the time indicated by our guide, we depart for Bologna Airport for our flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival at the airport, after completing baggage drop, ticketing, and passport control procedures, we fly to Istanbul on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight PC1218 at 15:25. Arrival at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 18:55 local time and end of the tour.
