After baggage and ticket procedures, depart for Catania at 06.00 with Ajet Airlines’ special flight VF5547. Upon arrival at 06.40 local time, our city tour of Catania begins with our vehicle waiting at the airport. On our city tour, the places to be seen include the Duomo Cathedral, Fontana dell'Elefante, Piazza Repubblica and Etna Street. After our tour, we give free time. Then transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
2nd Day Catania – Cefalu – Palermo – Catania
After the breakfast we will have at the hotel, guests who wish can join the magnificient Cefalu & Palermo tour organized as an extra. (100 Euro). Cefalu, located on the northern coast of the island of Sicily, is a charming seaside town that stands out with its historical texture and natural beauty. With its cobblestone narrow streets, colorful squares, golden sandy beaches and impressive views extending into the Mediterranean, it offers visitors unforgettable moments. Cefalu Cathedral, the symbol of the town, attracts attention with its Norman-era architecture and magnificent Byzantine mosaics, and is also on the UNESCO World Heritage List. After our tour, our next stop is Palermo, the capital of the island of Sicily. In this city, which has hosted many civilizations from the Phoenicians to the Romans, and from the Arabs to the Normans, the places to be seen during our tour include Palermo Cathedral, Canti Square, and Teatro Massimo (Opera House). After our tour, transfer to our hotel in Catania. Overnight at the hotel.
3rd Day Catania – Siracusa – Noto – Catania
After the breakfast we will have at the hotel, guests who wish can join the magnificent tour organized as an extra Siracusa & Noto tour. (75 Euro) Our first stop is Siracusa, with its unique historical heritage stretching from the ancient Greek period to the present day. Founded as a Greek colony in the 8th century BC, Siracusa was once one of the most important cultural and commercial centers of the Mediterranean; it is also known as the city where the famous scientist Archimedes was born. The most impressive part of the city is Ortigia Island, famous for its narrow stone streets, elegant squares and baroque buildings. Ancient temple ruins, historic fountains and seafront walking paths here give visitors the feeling of a journey through time. After the tour here, our second stop will be Noto. Referred to as the "capital of Sicilian Baroque," Noto was rebuilt after the great earthquake in 1693 and acquired a unique appearance with its magnificent structures made of golden limestone. The historic center of the city is almost an open-air museum with its impressive churches, aristocratic palaces, ornate balconies and large squares. Especially Noto Cathedral is the symbol of the city with its magnificent stairs and Baroque details. Noto, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, offers its visitors an unforgettable cultural experience with its romantic atmosphere, historical texture and traditional Sicilian flavors; thanks to its elegant architecture and quiet streets, Noto is regarded as one of Sicily's most enchanting and photogenic stops. After our tour, transfer to our hotel in Catania. Overnight at the hotel.
4th Day Catania – Taormina – Savoca – Etna – Catania – İstanbul (Saw)
After the breakfast we will have at the hotel, guests who wish can join the magnificent tour organized as an extra Taormina & Savoca & Etna tour. (75 Euro.) Our first stop will be Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Starting from the slopes of Etna, we will experience thousands of years of lava flows, extinct craters and unique views on the mountain's foothills. Then we will move on to the authentic mountain village of Savoca, where time seems to have stopped and where Francis Ford Coppola's cult masterpiece The Godfather was filmed; you will have the opportunity to visit the historic Bar Vitelli, where Michael Corleone asked for permission to marry in the film, and we will take a nostalgic walk through the streets where the Church of Saint Lucia, which bears the traces of The Godfather, is located. We will end the day in Taormina, the pearl of Sicily, with its magnificent location overlooking the Ionian Sea; you will have an unforgettable Sicilian experience by exploring the Greek – Roman Ancient Theatre with its magnificent views, the stylish boutiques filling the lively historic streets, and Umberto Street with its wonderful harbor view. After our tour, transfer to the airport at the time indicated by our guide. After baggage, ticket and passport procedures, depart at 20.40 with Ajet Airlines’ special flight VF5548 to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport. Arrival at 01.05 local time and the end of our tour.
