Meeting 3 hours before the flight in front of the SunExpress Airlines counter at the international departures terminal of Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport. After baggage, ticket, and passport procedures, departure to Düsseldorf at 11:40 with SunExpress Airlines flight XQ958. After arrival at 13:15 local time, departure to Amsterdam with our waiting vehicle. Upon arrival, our Amsterdam city tour begins. During our city tour of Amsterdam, places to be seen include Dam Square, Central Station, National Monument, Royal Palace, Flower Market, and Red Light District. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight in Amsterdam or surroundings.
2nd Day Amsterdam – Zaanse Schans – Marken – Volendam – Giethoorn – Amsterdam
After breakfast at the hotel, our guests who wish may join the Splendid Fairy-Tale Villages and Water Canals tour, which will be organized as an extra (Zaanse Schans & Marken & Volendam & Giethoorn Hobbit Village tour). (110 Euro) Our tour starts with the town of Zaanse Schans. One of the hidden paradise towns of the Netherlands, Zaanse Schans is famous for its old historic windmills that date back to the 17th century and are still in operation, and its untouched nature. With its historic windmills and wooden houses, you will feel as if you are walking through an open-air museum in the Dutch town of Zaanse Schans, whose beauty has no equivalent in the world. Our 2nd stop on the tour is Marken. After exploring the interior of this wonderful island, which used to be an island but was later connected to the mainland by filling in the land between it and the shore, we head to Volendam. Volendam is a place that captivates people at first sight with its harbor, characteristic Dutch houses, and people in traditional clothing. After spending a pleasant time in this town, where you can taste delicious seafood and cheeses and buy inexpensive souvenirs, our last stop is Giethoorn Hobbit Village. 3rd Day Amsterdam – Brugge – Gent – Brussels
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Brussels. On the way, our guests who wish may join the Splendid Cities Brugge & Gent tour, which will be organized as an extra. (90 Euro) Our first stop on the tour is Brugge, famous for its magnificent beauty. Today, Brugge is one of the most visited cities in Europe and was placed under protection by Unesco in 1991. With its medieval architecture, water canals, narrow streets, bridges, historic buildings, and squares, it has succeeded in becoming a jewel of Europe. After exploring this beautiful city, we head to Gent, another city where time seems to stand still. With a history spanning 1,400 years, Gent was established at the confluence of the Scheldt and Lys rivers and is one of the largest and richest cities of the Middle Ages. After our tour of this city, famous for its medieval historical monuments and university, we depart for Brussels. Brussels, one of the most remarkable stops on Benelux tours, stands out with its versatility. Thanks to its cosmopolitan structure, the city offers travelers many different possibilities, and we will visit its many valuable landmarks. Places to be seen upon arrival include the Royal Palace, Chinese and Japanese Houses, Brussels Cathedral, the city square, the Stock Exchange Building, the Atomium Monument, and the Manneken Pis Statue. 4th Day Brussels – Paris
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Paris, one of the most romantic cities in the world. Upon arrival in Paris, places to be seen include Charles de Gaulle and the Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, the Louvre Museum and the Pyramid, Etoile Square, the Grand Palais and Petit Palais Exhibition Palaces, Concorde Square and the Obelisk, the French Parliament Building, Alexander III Bridge, the Seine River, Napoleon’s Tomb, and the Eiffel Tower. After the tour, transfer to our hotel and free time. In the evening, our guests who wish may join the Splendid Paris Under the Lights tour, which will be organized as an extra. (35 Euro) Paris is beautiful by day and by night in a different way. On this tour, you will have the opportunity to see Champs Elysees, Concorde Square, the Louvre Museum, and many more boulevards, buildings, and squares under the lights. 5th Day Paris
After breakfast at the hotel, our guests who wish may join the Splendid Paris Masterpieces & Seine River Boat tour, which will be organized as an extra (Eiffel Tower & Seine River Boat Trip & Montmartre Painters’ Hill & Sacre Coeur Basilica & Notre Dame Cathedral). (110 Euro) Our first stop on the tour is the iconic Eiffel Tower, the city’s symbol visited by millions of tourists every year. You will have the chance to go up to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel Tower and see Paris from above. Then we take a boat tour on the Seine River, which divides Paris in two. After seeing the historical structures on both banks of the river during the boat tour, we go up by cable car to Montmartre Hill, the highest hill in Paris. The first place to see on this hill, where traces of important artists such as Pablo Picasso, Henri Toulouse-Lautrec, Dalida, Vincent Van Gogh, and Jean Marais can be found, will be Sacre Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart). After seeing this structure up close, following a break where you can shop at Tertre Square and have your portrait drawn, we visit Notre Dame Cathedral, described as a symbol of French history and an indispensable part of Paris’s silhouette. Notre Dame Cathedral was built on the order of King Louis VII, who reigned between 1137 and 1180, to show the political, economic, and cultural power of Paris to the world. 6th Day Paris – Reims – Metz
After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for Reims, another beautiful city in France. Reims is the ancient capital of the Gallic people, and its name comes from Remes from that period. During this magnificent tour we will carry out in Reims, the most important and largest city of the Champagne Region, which witnessed the coronation ceremonies of many French kings with its history reaching back to the Roman Empire and its unique Gothic architecture, places to be seen include Reims Cathedral, added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1991, The Palace of Tau, Saint Remi Basilica, and La Porte de Mars. After the tour, we set off for Metz. Metz is a fascinating city located in France’s Lorraine Region between Nancy and Luxembourg. Metz, which ranked 4th in the 2019 “Europe’s Best Destination” competition, is on the UNESCO Tentative World Heritage List with its historical, cultural, and architectural features. 7th Day Metz – Luxembourg
After breakfast at the hotel, we set off for Luxembourg. Upon arrival, our Luxembourg city tour begins. Notre Dame Cathedral, the Ducal Palace, City Hall, and Constitution Square are among the places to be seen. After the tour, our guests who wish may join the extra Splendid History and Mosaics tour (Trier & Remich & Schengen), which will be organized as an extra. (65 Euro) Our first stop on the tour will be Trier, founded by the Romans in 15 BC and bearing the title of Germany’s oldest city. In the city tour we will carry out in Trier, located in the Moselle Wine Region among low red sandstone hills covered with vines on the banks of the Moselle River, one of the tributaries of the Rhine, places to be seen include Porta Nigra, the largest surviving Roman city gate north of the Alps, the Roman Ruins within the UNESCO World Heritage Area, St. Peter’s Cathedral and the Church of Our Lady, Constantine Basilica, and the house where Karl Marx, the revolutionary thinker and father of scientific socialism, was born. After our visit to Trier, we head to Remich, the tax haven town where you can do the cheapest shopping throughout our tour. Due to Luxembourg’s low tax policies and border location, you can buy products such as chocolate, coffee, and alcoholic beverages here at very low prices. Finally, we visit Schengen, the point where the borders of Germany, France, and Luxembourg meet, and where the free movement agreement abolishing passport controls between European Union member states was signed. In this village, one of Europe’s important wine regions, you will have the opportunity to taste local wines and see the monument and building where the Schengen Agreement was signed. 8th Day Luxembourg – Cologne – Düsseldorf – Izmir
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for Cologne. Cologne is one of Germany’s most important transportation, culture, science, art, and trade centers. In the city tour we will carry out here, the Gothic Cathedral, the Rhine River, and shopping streets are among the places to be seen. After the tour, in the city tour we will do in Düsseldorf, one of Germany’s most important culture, art, and industrial cities, places to be seen include the revolving restaurant Rheinturm, Schloss Benrath, where some of Germany’s most important thinkers were educated, the shopping street Königsallee, and the green areas of Hofgarten.
