One of the cathedral’s most notable features is its bronze doors, known as the “Gates of Paradise,” on which the stories of prophets mentioned in the Quran are depicted symbolically. Known for its wild strawberries and therefore called the “Strawberry Village,” Nemi hosts an annual strawberry festival. After our sightseeing tour in Nemi, where narrow streets opening onto squares, a breathtaking lake and valley view blend with the scent of strawberries in the air, we continue our historical journey through Rome and its icons, the city known as Urbs aput mundi, meaning “the city at the center of the world,” offering art, history, music, shopping, sunshine, and cuisine.
