Day 1: Istanbul – Milan
Meeting at 05:00 in front of the Turkish Airlines counter at the international departures terminal of Istanbul New Airport. After check-in procedures, we depart for Milan on Turkish Airlines scheduled flight TK 1873 at 08:15. Upon our arrival at 09:05, we will take our city tour of Milan with the bus waiting for us. Rather than attractive, Milan is a stylish city; rather than creative, it is a wealthy city. Undoubtedly, it is the lifeblood of the Italian economy and one of Italy’s most worth-seeing cities. On our Milan city tour, we will see Milan Castle, one of the city’s historical monuments, ‘Castello Sforzesco’; the ‘Galleria’, which marked the 19th-century industrial revolution and is also known as Europe’s first covered shopping center. The famous French engineer Gustave Eiffel was inspired by this place for the construction of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The Duomo, where Gothic art can be seen intensely, is the fourth largest church in the world with its exterior facade made up of more than 2000 statues. On the streets known as the center of fashion, ‘via monte napoleone’ and ‘via la spiga’, you can see the richness of the shop windows. After our tour, guests who wish may join the Lake Como and Town Tour. Transfer to our hotel and overnight at the hotel.
Extra Tour: Lake Como and Town Tour Per Person 50 Euro
Located about 1.5 hours from Milan, Lake Como is a pleasant region that stands out with its natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere. On this tour, we arrive in the town of Como, take a short walk with our guide, and then give our guests free time for shopping and exploring.
Day 2: Milan – Pisa – Florence – Montecatini
After breakfast, we head toward Florence. On the way, guests who wish may join the Pisa Tour. Florence, known in history as the birthplace of the Renaissance and a city that shaped the history of European art and thought, is one of the most important cultural centers not only in Italy but in the world. This city, which rose under the patronage of the Medici family, was the center where many geniuses such as Dante Alighieri, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarroti, and Botticelli were born and created their works. It also played a pioneering role throughout history in banking, textiles, and art; for a period it even served as the capital of the Kingdom of Italy. On our city tour, we will see the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral (Duomo), one of Florence’s masterpieces combining Gothic and Renaissance architecture, the Baptistery with its impressive exterior, Giotto’s Bell Tower, Signoria Square, considered the political center of the city, Palazzo Vecchio (Signoria Palace) in the square, the statue-adorned Loggia dei Lanzi, Uffizi Square hosting world-famous collections, the historic and elegant Ponte Vecchio Bridge over the Arno River, Piazza della Repubblica blending the city’s modern and historic fabric, and San Lorenzo Market, known for its local products.
Extra Tour: Pisa Tour Per Person 50 EUR
We will have the chance to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa, one of Italy’s symbols, up close. On our tour, the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles) will be visited; our guide will provide information about the Pisa Cathedral, Baptistery, and Leaning Tower from the outside. After the tour, guests will be given free time for photos and to explore the area. You can capture unforgettable shots in front of this iconic tower, one of the most photographed structures in Italy.
Day 3 Florence – Verona & Garda – Venice
After breakfast, we depart for Venice. Guests who wish may join the Verona & Lake Garda Tour on the way. After our tour, we head to Venice. From Tronchetto port, the last transportation point for vehicles, we take a vaporetto to the historic island. After a pleasant Vaporetto ride, we get off near St. Mark’s Square, the historic center of the city, and begin our tour among the canals. Here, all the vehicles we are used to seeing in daily life—police, ambulances, garbage trucks, municipal buses, etc.—have been replaced by boats, as the city is free of motor vehicles. As we walk from the Slave’s Shore to St. Mark’s Square, you can see the Venetian prison and the “Ponte dei Sospiri” (Bridge of Sighs) connecting the prison and the Doge’s Palace, San Giorgio Island directly opposite the bridge, the twin columns on the main facade of the Doge’s Palace, called the gateway to the city, and the statues symbolizing Venice on top of these columns. The square where St. Mark’s Cathedral is located was called “the most beautiful square in the world” by Napoleon. Although the cathedral was completed in the 9th century, it took its present form in the 17th century. The 4 bronze horses on its main facade were brought from Istanbul upon the return from the Second Crusades. During your free time, you can watch the statues on top of the clock tower strike the bell every hour, and by climbing the Bell Tower you can also see the entire Venice panorama from above. In addition, guests who wish may join the extra Burano Island Tour. After our tour, free time. Then transfer to our hotel, room assignment, and overnight at our Venice hotel.
Extra Tour: Verona & Garda Tour Per Person: 50 Euro
We see the administrative palace of the Duchy of Verona, which remained under the Venetian Republic for centuries, Erbe Square, which is still used as a market place today as it was throughout history, and Italy’s second largest amphitheater after the Colosseum in Rome. Passing through Verona shopping streets lined with marble to show its wealth, we see the palace where Dante Alighieri lived during his exile. After seeing the Scaliger family cemetery that ruled Verona, we will panormically see the house where Romeo and Juliet, which inspired the English playwright William Shakespeare, were born. After a short free time, we head to Lake Garda, Italy’s largest lake.
In Garda, enchanting with its natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and lake view, you can walk along the lakeside, take photos of unique scenery, and enjoy the cool breeze.
