ISTANBUL – TOKYO
Arrive at Istanbul Airport 3 hours before your flight (as of 23:00 on the evening before departure) and, after check-in, baggage drop-off, and passport control, we fly to Tokyo at 02:05 with Turkish Airlines' direct scheduled flight TK198. Upon arrival at Tokyo Haneda International Airport at 19:20 local time, we transfer to our hotel in the Tokyo area by the vehicle waiting for us at the airport. After arriving at the hotel, we check into our rooms and offer free time to rest.
TOKYO – MOUNT FUJI & HAKONE – TOKYO/GOTEMBA OUTLET – (Night Tour with Tokyo Neon Lights)
After breakfast, we depart to organize our Mount Fuji and Hakone Tour program. Fuji, one of Japan’s most important natural symbols and the country’s highest mountain at approximately 3,776 meters, is considered sacred in Japanese culture and one of the strongest symbols of Japanese aesthetics. If weather conditions are suitable, we will make photo stops where we can view Mount Fuji panoramically from different points. After approximately 2.5 hours of travel, we arrive in Osaka and transfer to our hotel in the Osaka area. Room check-in and free time. Built in the 16th century, the castle played an important role in Japan’s unification process. After visiting Osaka Castle, where we will view the garden and exterior panoramically, we move on to the Shinsaibashi area, one of the city’s most lively shopping arteries. We walk in this area with an indoor market atmosphere and observe the city’s daily life. Continuing our tour, we see Dotonbori, Osaka’s entertainment district famous for its neon lights and colorful signs. On our tour, we first depart for Nara, one of Japan’s first capitals. After approximately 1 hour of travel, we arrive in an atmosphere filled with nature and history. We walk in the park area famous for its hundreds of free-roaming deer. These deer, considered sacred in Japanese culture, have become symbols of the region. We visit Todai-ji Temple, located within the park and one of the world’s largest wooden structures. The giant Great Buddha statue inside the temple is one of the most impressive examples of Japanese Buddhist architecture. After the free time to be given, we will visit Gion, the traditional entertainment and geiko (geisha) district of the city, famous for its streets where you will feel as if you are in a traditional Japanese film. During the free time to be given in Seoul, guests who wish may join the extra Traditional Seoul & Street Food Discovery Tour (75 Euro). Our first stop will be Bukchon Hanok Village, which brings traditional Korean architecture into the present day. We walk through narrow streets lined with hundreds of years old wooden houses and take a photo break after sightseeing in this special area that bears traces of the Joseon period. This neighborhood, which opens to the past in the middle of modern Seoul, is one of the city’s most characteristic places. Our next stop, where we will closely experience the city’s local life and street culture, will be Gwangjang Market. In the lively atmosphere of Gwangjang Market, one of Seoul’s oldest and most authentic markets where we can see the street flavors of traditional Korean cuisine, we will get to know the local market culture, observe daily life in its simplest and most natural form, mingle with the people, and offer free time for beautiful photos. Then, we see Heunginjimun (Dongdaemun Gate), one of the historical city gates surviving from the Joseon period. This structure, an important part of Seoul’s old city wall system, presents the past and present in the same frame. After a short free time for photography, in the final section of our tour we view Dongdaemun Design Plaza, designed by Zaha Hadid, panoramically. This structure, notable for its futuristic architecture, represents Seoul’s contemporary and innovative face. At the end of the tour, we return to our hotel and have free time to rest.
SEUL – ISTANBUL
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we head to Seoul Incheon Airport for our return flight to Istanbul. After completing baggage drop-off, check-in, and passport control at the airport, we fly to Istanbul at 10:35 with Turkish Airlines’ scheduled flight TK198. Arrival at Istanbul Airport at 16:35 local time and end of the tour.
