ISTANBUL – MADRID – (Toledo Tour) – GRANADA
After completing baggage check-in, ticketing, and passport control procedures by being present at Sabiha Gökçen Airport International Terminal 3 hours before our flight time, we fly to Madrid at 10:00 on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight PC 1099. Following our arrival in Madrid at 13:30 local time, we head towards Granada. On the way, our guests who wish may join our extra Toledo Tour program (50 Euro). With our arrival in Toledo, we organize our tour. Founded by the Jews in 590 BC, Toledo is one of Spain’s most important cities in historical and touristic terms, where people belonging to three major religions live together peacefully today, and it is also known as the “city of knights.” The Tagus, the largest river of the Iberian Peninsula, passes through the city. The city was the capital of the Kingdom of Spain for a long time. As one of the largest medieval cities in the world, it has been included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List and taken under protection. Cervantes, the author of Don Quixote, was born in this city. Toledo Cathedral, whose construction took approximately 270 years, was formerly a mosque and is now the world’s 3rd most important and Spain’s main cathedral, containing some of the world’s most expensive works; San Martin Bridge, Damasquinos (Damascene work), workshops and shops where gold handicrafts are made are among the places to be seen panoramically on our tour. After breakfast and hotel check-out, we organize our city tour in Granada. Granada, built on fertile land at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, is one of Spain’s most touristic cities. In our panoramic tour of the city, which has been heavily influenced by the Romans and the Umayyads throughout its rich history and is home to the Alhambra Palace, among the historical Andalusia/Granada streets, we will see the Statue of Queen Isabella and Christopher Columbus, Grand Via, La Rambla, and the City Square among the places to be seen, along with works from the Umayyad and Abbasid periods. Governed throughout history under the rule of the Phoenicians, Romans, North African Muslims, and finally the Portuguese, Lisbon hosts many historical monuments with this history dating back to 1200 BC. During the tour we will carry out in Lisbon, the city’s historical area where Rossio Square and St. George’s Castle are located, and the Santa Justa Elevator are among the main places to be seen. After the city tour, we offer free time in the city center. In the continuation of our city tour, Belem Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries, built during the age of geographic discoveries and carrying symbolic importance for Portugal, will be seen and free time will be given for a photo break. The first stop of our tour will be the town of Sintra. Sintra will welcome us with its boutique shops, colorful and ornate houses resembling castles, and cobblestone streets. However, the most important feature that earned the town a place on the UNESCO World Heritage List is its architectural monuments and buildings from the Romantic Period. After our Sintra visit, which we will carry out in streets and avenues surrounded by palaces and churches, our next stop will be Cabo da Roca, called “The End of the World” and the westernmost point of the European Continent. After breakfast, free time for the entire day. During this free time, our guests who wish may join our extra Barcelona Icons Tour program (65 Euro). First, we go up to Carmel Hill, where we can enjoy the magnificent view of the city, and visit Park Guell, designed and built by Antoni Gaudi. “Entrance fee included” We offer free time for photos and sightseeing in Guell Park, which was included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List in 1984 and takes its visitors into a fairy-tale land with its vivid colors and figures inspired by nature. Then we will see Casa Mila, one of the most important works Gaudi added to the urban architecture (Gaudi’s House), and complete our tour with a walk around La Sagrada Familia. Within the free time to be provided specifically for guests joining the Barcelona Icons Tour, our guests who wish may join our extra Figueres & Dali Museum Tour program (75 Euro). In the first part of our tour, we set off towards Figueres. After breakfast and hotel check-out procedures, we head to the airport for our flight to Istanbul. On the way, our guests who wish may join our extra Outlet Tour program (25 Euro). After our visit to the outlet center, which offers its visitors a pleasant and affordable shopping experience with its stylish stores of many prestigious brands, cafes and restaurants, and personal activity areas, we continue our journey to the airport. Upon arrival at the airport and after completing ticketing, baggage check-in, and passport control procedures, we fly to Istanbul at 13:50 on Pegasus Airlines scheduled flight PC1092. Arrival at Sabiha Gökçen Airport at 18:20 local time and the end of our tour.
