İZMİR – ROME
Arriving at the International Terminal of İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport 3 hours before the flight, we complete our ticketing, baggage check-in and passport procedures and depart for Rome at 19:30 on SunExpress Airlines’ scheduled flight XQ868. We arrive at Rome Fiumicino Airport at 21:00 local time and transfer to our hotel in the Rome area by our private vehicle waiting for us at the airport. Upon arrival at the hotel, room allocation and free time to rest.
ROME – (Rome Icons & Nemi Strawberry Village Tour) – (Vatican and Local Neighborhoods of Rome Tour)
Following breakfast, we offer a full day of free time. Guests who wish may join our optional Rome Icons & Nemi Strawberry Village Tour (85 Euros). Our first stop on the tour will be Nemi. Known for its wild strawberries and called the “Strawberry Village” for this reason, Nemi hosts an annual strawberry festival. Following our sightseeing tour in Nemi, where narrow streets opening onto squares, enchanting lake and valley views, and the scent of strawberries in the air come together, we take you on a historical journey through Rome and its icons. Known as Urbs caput mundi, meaning “the city at the center of the world,” Rome welcomes you with art, history, music, shopping, sunshine and cuisine, as well as buildings in different styles ranging from antiquity to the Renaissance. While the works created by architects competing with one another attract thousands of tourists to the city in every season, Rome is able to carry even these crowds without overwhelming people, with all its beauty and elegance. During our tour, in Rome, the imperial city that shaped European civilization and witnessed 23 centuries of history, we will panoramically see the Colosseum, the ancient amphitheater that became the symbol of the city and hosted gladiator fights throughout the Roman Empire; the Roman Forum, the ceremonial center of the city during the imperial period; the Trevi Fountain, where legend has it that those who throw a coin into it will return to Rome; the Spanish Steps, famous for its street artists; Piazza Pietra and Piazza Popolo. At the end of the tour, we offer free time at the Pantheon in central Rome. During this free time, guests who wish may join our optional Vatican and Local Neighborhoods of Rome Tour (65 Euros). Beginning with views of Castel Sant’Angelo – the Castle of the Angels – and Piazza Navona, we visit the Vatican / San Pietro, the center of the Catholic denomination of Christianity and the smallest country in the world in terms of area. We offer free time in St. Peter’s Square, where thousands of Catholics come and gather for worship every year, where the Pope comes out of his residence to greet the public on special occasions, and where St. Peter’s Basilica, the world’s largest cathedral featuring statues of 140 saints, is located. Following the free time, we begin our tour of the local neighborhoods of Rome. In this tour, where we mingle with the people of Rome and feel almost like residents of the city, we experience the true atmosphere of Italy in Trastevere, Piazza Trilussa, Ponte Sisto and the Ghetto areas, known for their naturalness and simplicity as well as their cafés, small family restaurants, boutiques, greengrocers, butchers and many other small and charming shops. The Ancient Tiber Island, connected to the city by two bridges, will also be seen panoramically. Following our walking tour through the narrow back streets resembling a labyrinth, lined with small tables, we complete the tour and return to our hotel in the Rome area.
ROME – NAPLES – (Pearl of Amalfi Sorrento or Pompeii Tour with Lunch) – ROME
Following breakfast, we depart for Naples. Upon arrival in Naples, during our panoramic city tour, Castel Nuovo, Palazzo Reale di Napoli, Galleria Umberto, Teatro di San Carlo, Via Toledo, Piazza del Plebiscito and Basilica Reale Pontificia San Francesco da Paola will be among the places to see. During the free time offered after the city tour, guests who wish may join our optional Pompeii Tour with Lunch (80 Euros). Beginning with lunch at a local restaurant, we visit Pompeii, which lies at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, which erupted in 79 AD and destroyed the city. Following long excavations by archaeologists beginning in 1748, the city was brought to light in all its vitality. We complete our tour with a visit to the ancient city of Pompeii.
Alternatively, guests who wish may join our optional Pearl of Amalfi Sorrento Tour (80 Euros). We offer free time following our city tour and sightseeing in Sorrento, located on the Amalfi coast and famous for its small tourist boutiques, dazzling beaches, breathtaking views and Limoncello, the Italian lemon liqueur. Sorrento fascinates its visitors by combining its Italian character and charm with Mediterranean style, and has a history dating back to prehistoric times.
After the tour, we return to our hotel in the Rome area.
ROME – (Siena Tour) – FLORENCE – (Pisa Tour)
Following breakfast and check-out, we set off for Florence. Guests who wish may join our optional Siena Tour (50 Euros) along the way. Siena is famous for its narrow medieval streets, small avenues and Campo Square, regarded as the largest square in Europe. Following an enjoyable tour of Campo Square and the narrow, historic streets leading to it, we continue our journey toward Florence and organize our city tour upon arrival. During our city tour in Florence, the capital of the Renaissance and the hometown of Pinocchio, we will first view from the outside the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, which immediately attracts attention with its orange-colored dome and is the fourth-largest church in Europe. One of the cathedral’s most striking features is its bronze door, called the “Gates of Paradise,” on which stories of prophets, some of whom are also mentioned in the Holy Quran, are symbolically depicted. We will then see Giotto’s Bell Tower, once used to summon the public to parliament; Piazza della Signoria, Florence’s political and social center for centuries and home to Michelangelo’s famous Statue of David; and the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio), famous for its antique and jewelry shops. Following the Florence city tour, we depart for our hotel in the Florence area. Guests who wish may join our optional Pisa Tour (50 Euros) along the way. Upon arrival in Pisa, during our tour, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Cathedral, the Baptistery and Piazza dei Miracoli will be among the places to visit. Following the short free time offered for a photo break, we arrive at our hotel in the Florence area. Room allocation and free time to rest.
FLORENCE – (Cinque Terre Tour by Train) – BOLOGNA – VENICE
Following breakfast and check-out, we depart for Bologna. Guests who wish may join our optional Cinque Terre Tour by Train (75 Euros) along the way. Cinque Terre is a region on Italy’s Ligurian coast known for its colorful houses, terraced slopes stretching parallel to the coast and seaside towns. With its narrow streets, coastal views and preserved architecture, it is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The region offers easy transportation between the villages through hiking routes and train connections. After sightseeing and a tour in one of the five villages that gave Cinque Terre its name, we complete our tour and continue our journey toward Bologna. Bologna, located in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region, is known as one of the country’s oldest university cities. The city stands out with its architecture dating from the Middle Ages to the present day, long arcaded walkways and lively squares. Upon arrival in the city, we begin our panoramic Bologna city tour. Piazza Maggiore, considered the heart of the city, and Basilica di San Petronio, Palazzo Comunale and Palazzo del Podestà surrounding the square will be among the structures seen panoramically. During the panoramic city tour, we will see the Asinelli and Garisenda Towers (Due Torri), which have become symbols of Bologna, panoramically and take a short photo break here. We will then walk along Bologna’s arcades, protected by UNESCO, and experience the city’s historic texture up close. During the city tour, we will see the Archiginnasio Palace, the historic center of the University of Bologna, panoramically, and then proceed through narrow streets and squares, having the opportunity to freely experience the city’s atmosphere. Following the free time offered at the end of the city tour, we depart for Venice. Upon arrival at our hotel in the Venice area, room allocation and free time to rest.
VENICE – (Venice Masterpieces and Colorful Islands Tour by Boat)
Following breakfast, guests who wish may join our optional Venice Masterpieces and Colorful Islands Tour by Boat (125 Euros – Vaporetto transportation fees included), organized during the full day of free time. In the first part of our tour in Venice, we will see the main iconic landmarks, including St. Mark’s Square, built of stone and marble with its columns brought from Istanbul; St. Mark’s Basilica; the Doge’s Palace, designed and used as a symbol of grandeur and power; the Clock Tower; the Bridge of Sighs; and the historic Campanile Bell Tower. We will then enjoy a pleasant walk through the streets of Venice, connected by bridges and extending along narrow canals. In the continuation of our tour, we organize our Colorful Islands program. During this tour, where we will have the opportunity to observe the island of Venice from different angles while passing through the lagoons, we will see the islands of Lido and Murano from the sea and visit Burano Island, a fishing village famous for its lace and known as one of the 10 most colorful places in the world. After our tour, we return to our hotel in the Venice area and offer free time to rest.
VENICE – (Verona & Sirmione Tour) – MILAN
Following breakfast and check-out, we depart for Milan. Guests who wish may join our optional Verona & Sirmione Tour (65 Euros) along the way. Our first stop will be Verona. Included on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Verona is home to Italy’s second-largest amphitheater after the Colosseum, as well as the house of Romeo and Juliet, the famous work written by the renowned English author Shakespeare that tells the greatest love story known in the world today. Following our panoramic sightseeing tour on foot along Via Mazzini, the main street, and Piazza delle Erbe, surrounded by many shops, cafés and stores, during which we can also see Verona Cathedral, we arrive at Sirmione, our next stop. In Sirmione, the pearl of Lake Garda, greeted by Scaliger Castle dating back to the 13th century, we will see the town’s buildings and houses covered with bougainvillea during our panoramic tour. The town has become a tourist attraction with its medieval streets, and we will enjoy a pleasant tour accompanied by the scent of lemon trees surrounding the area. Following the free time offered for an enjoyable sightseeing tour, we complete our tour and continue our journey toward Milan. Milan, one of Europe’s fashion capitals, also stands out for its cuisine, opera, churches and priceless works of art such as Leonardo da Vinci’s fresco The Last Supper. Although it is Italy’s business and financial capital, Milan is also the right destination for shopping, nightlife and dining experiences. During our city tour, La Scala, the famous opera house; Duomo Square and Cathedral; La Galleria, where many famous brands are located and where you can enjoy shopping; and Porta Romana will be among the places to see. Following the free time offered at the end of the Milan city tour, we transfer to our hotel in the Milan area. Room allocation and free time to rest.
MILAN – (Como Tour) – OUTLET
Following breakfast and check-out, we depart to visit the outlet center. Guests who wish may join our optional Como Tour (50 Euros) along the way. Upon arrival in Como, during our tour, we visit Lake Como, famous for its luxurious lifestyle and natural beauty and home to the summer residences of Hollywood celebrities, wealthy Europeans and the international jet set, and take a photo break accompanied by the lake’s unique views. At the end of the tour, we continue our journey toward the outlet center. After enjoying free time at the outlet center, which is home to elegant stores of many prestigious brands, cafés and restaurants, and personal activity areas, offering quality shopping at affordable prices, we depart for Milan Malpensa Airport for our return flight to İzmir.
MILAN – İZMİR
Upon arrival at the airport, after completing our baggage drop-off, check-in and passport control procedures, we depart for İzmir at 01:00 on Turkish Airlines’ direct and special flight TK3450. Arrival at İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport at 04:45 Türkiye time and the end of our tour.
