After baggage drop, check-in, and passport control at Ankara Esenboğa Airport International Terminal, which we will complete 3 hours before the flight, we fly to Zurich at 07:20 on SunExpress Airlines’ direct scheduled flight XQ732. Upon arrival at Zurich Airport at 09:45 local time, we set off for Lugano by our private coach waiting for us at the airport. With our arrival in Lugano, we will take a peaceful walk along the shores of Lake Lugano, which lies within Switzerland and will captivate us with its unique nature, wonderful views, and city park, and we will enjoy the unique scenery by photographing the beautiful natural surroundings. At the end of the tour, we depart for Como. Como is a center located in the Lombardy region and stands out with its historic buildings and orderly urban layout. Its city squares, cathedral, and waterfront offer visitors a compact and easy-to-explore area. Lake Como, one of Italy’s best-known lakes, completes the region’s natural appearance with the surrounding hills, lakeside settlements, and regular transport lines. The lakeside area is a region that is regularly visited throughout the year and has a balanced appearance between city and nature. On our Como & Lake Como tour, we will first reach Como city center and see the cathedral area, squares, and waterfront from the outside. MILAN – VERONA – (Venice Masterpieces Tour) – (Venice Colorful Islands & Gondola Tour) – VENICE
After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Verona. Located on the UNESCO World Heritage List, Verona is also home to Italy’s second-largest amphitheater after the Colosseum, and to the home of the famous play Romeo and Juliet by the renowned English writer Shakespeare, which tells the world’s most famous love story. After our panoramic city tour, during which we will walk along Via Mazzini (the main street) and Erbe Square, surrounded by many shops, cafés, and stores, and also see Verona Cathedral, we complete our tour and head to our hotel in the Venice region. On the way, guests who wish may join our optional Venice Masterpieces Tour program (85 Euro – including vaporetto and city entrance fees). In the first part of our tour in Venice, we will see major iconic works such as St. Mark’s Square, built of stone and marble with its columns brought from Istanbul, St. Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace designed and used as a symbol of magnificence and power, the Clock Tower, the Bridge of Sighs, and the historic Campanile Bell Tower; afterward, we will enjoy a pleasant walk through the streets of Venice, connected by bridges and extending along narrow canals. After breakfast and hotel check-out, we depart for Rome. On the way, guests who wish may join our optional Florence Masterpieces Tour with Lunch program (65 Euro). Upon arrival in Florence, we begin our tour with lunch at a local restaurant. In Florence, the capital of the Renaissance and the hometown of Pinocchio, we will first see from the outside the Cathedral of Santa Maria Del Fiore, which immediately attracts attention with its orange dome and is the 4th largest church in Europe. One of the most striking features of the cathedral is the bronze door called the “Gate of Paradise,” where scenes representing the stories of the prophets mentioned in the Qur’an are depicted. Later, Giotto’s Bell Tower, once used to summon the people to parliament, Signoria Square, which for centuries was Florence’s political and social center and where Michelangelo’s famous statue of David is located, and the Old Bridge (Ponte Vecchio), famous for its antique and jewelry shops, are among the places to be seen. After breakfast, we offer a full day of free time. Guests who wish may join our optional Rome Icons & Nemi Strawberry Village Tour program (85 Euro). Our first stop on the tour will be Nemi. Known for its wild strawberries and called the “Strawberry Village” because of this feature, Nemi hosts an annual strawberry festival. After our sightseeing tour in Nemi, where narrow streets opening onto squares combine with the enchanting lake and valley views and the scent of strawberries in the air, we take you on a historical journey through Rome and its icons, called Urbs aput mundi, meaning “the city at the center of the world,” offering art, history, music, shopping, sun, and cuisine, with buildings in different styles ranging from antiquity to the Renaissance. While the works created by architects competing with one another attract thousands of tourists to the city in every season, Rome can carry even these crowds with all its beauty and aesthetics without overwhelming people. On our tour, in the imperial city of Rome, which has shaped European civilization and witnessed 23 centuries of history, we will first see the symbol of the city, the ancient theater Colosseum, which hosted gladiator fights throughout the Roman Empire, the Roman Forum, the ceremonial center of the city during imperial times, the Fountain of Love, where, according to legend, those who throw a coin into it will return to Rome, the Spanish Steps famous for street artists, and Piazza Pietra and Piazza Popolo among the panoramic sights. We offer free time at St. Peter’s Square, where the St. Peter’s Cathedral, the world’s largest cathedral with 140 statues of saints, stands; thousands of Catholics come here every year for worship, and on special days the Pope comes out from his office to greet the people. After the free time provided, we begin our Rome Local Neighborhoods tour. Siena is famous for its narrow streets dating back to the Middle Ages, its small avenues, and Campo Square, considered the largest square in Europe. After an enjoyable tour of Campo Square in Siena and the narrow, historic streets leading to it, we complete our tour and arrive at San Gimignano, our second stop.
